Nola to DFW with an hour layover to San Francisco. 3 gate/terminal changes, waiting on staff, sat on plane at the gate for an hour and a half because the plane had too much fuel. Couldn’t remove fuel because no truck. Then had to move fuel from rear to front tank. It’s comical. Finally about to take off 6 hours later.

I was on it

Could've dealt with the southwest nonsense all day. Kinda ruined the short weekend trip for us.

They are consistently ranked the worst carrier in the US. Why anyone would choose to fly them is beyond me.

I don't disagree with this, and while I don't really fly that often, American is the only domestic carrier that I haven't had a problem with.

Mostly because all the long haul business class seats are 1-2-1 configuration. United still insists on a 2-2-2 which can leave you trapped against the window on a 12 hour flight.

Delta also all 1-2-1.

It was like that before Covid too. They left us on tarmac for 4 hours in Austin one time on Cleveland to BR flight that got diverted, then shipped us to DFW and then finally got in the next day after overnight in DFW. Ughhh

DFW is my home airport. AA has been my go to airline for 20+ years of business and personal travel. I hear all the time how terrible they are and I haven’t experienced it. I can get direct to almost any city in a matter of 4 hours and they want to get the plane back to DFW to turn it around so it’s unlikely I’m getting cancelled on my way home.

The biggest issue I’ve had in the last year was waiting 30+ minutes for a jet bridge. People were losing their minds because they were going to miss a connection. I get it. However, it’s been a great airline for me and my family.

Ah, yes. That popular CLE-BTR non-stop on AA. Love that flight.

Not only that, it was diverted to Austin instead of DFW.

Well you’ve gotten lucky, I don’t think I’ve ever been on an American airline flight that left on the scheduled time or arrived as scheduled. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck but they are the worst in my experience.
