Heading to Aspen next week, was getting nervous and I am glad this storm delivered with a foot plus. Highlands was dumped on...

Seems like there are a few more shots of snow in the forecase for next week as well.

Any early reports on if there are many restaurants in Aspen/Snowmass requiring proof of vaccine to dine? Or how militant they are?

They sent an email saying it was required in some of the Aspen ski company owned hotels and full service dining, not sure how strict they are about it though.

They didn't give a shite last season. They barely even made you wear a mask for anything other than the bus.
Don't know how looney they've gotten this year though.

Are there any vaccine mandates for restaurant dining in Park City, like the main street area?

Snowstorm night, was up late watching it fall baw.

Ended up with a tidy 1" here. Wind direction wasnt quite right (WSW). Crested Butte has absolutely feasted these last two storms, pushing 30" on it. Aspen again overperforms a WSW wind.

Copper/Summit did solid considering the wind direction.

Got southern severe to worry about tonight but starting to look to next weeks storm, and Ill do a more full round up of storm totals later.

ETA: Just went outside barefoot and short sleeves to grab something real quick. It's 21, do not recommend.

I wish

My plan is to go to Tahoe during March Madness week then head to Las Vegas for March Madness

I hope the conditions in mid March aren't 100% mashed potatoes and crud though. I did the same in Vail last year and it was hit or miss. Back bowls were unskiable a couple days but then we got a storm and it was great.

There was one really militant Vail resorts employee working Chair 4 at Vail last year who would scream at people in the lift line if their face wasn't covered. Outside of that I didn't encounter a single employee who gave a shite about masks.

I used a neck gaiter, but on days it got too cold it was worthless since it would turn into a frozen piece of cloth and make it really hard to actually get over my mouth and nose.

Snow on the mountains still today, should produce some nice fluffy stuff where it is snowing right now. Temps in the teens here in Twin Lakes, and actually threatening to snow a little.

Must be nice. Here in the PNW it was awful. I got yelled at for being outside drinking water because I wasn’t in the “drinking zone.”

Breck liftee’s were pretty consistent last year in requiring face coverage in line last year. I don’t think that is supposed to be a problem this year.

Covid's over for everyone except the MSM and Democrat leadership.
Unfortunately, it's alot harder to convince some people to undo it than it was to convince them to do it.

Looking forward to getting back to Real Normal and laying down some carves this year!

Like I said before, the beauty of Tahoe is you only need one storm to go from nothing to everything.

Im getting snow this afternoon. NW wind producing. The better news is the bitter cold. Ive got 11 right now, with a nice 15-20 mph wind out the northwest.

Skiing this year, it does seem like masks will be ‘required’ inside (meaning it’ll depend upon the employees you encounter as to whether you need to wear a mask). Definitely seems like 100% no masks outside though.

Got my targets narrowed down to 4.
Big sky
Vail
Jackson hole
Telluride
Probably ranked in interest.

Adults only.
Snowboard. All mountain freestyle board.
Prefer trees, powder, and off piste, but not crazy about steeps or shoots.
Don't mind moguls or blue groomers...
But usually, they are a means to trees.

If I have to choose just one.
Big sky?

Was supposed to go to Big Sky last season but the Houston freeze screwed me out of it. My friends it was nothing short of incredible. Great runs and snow so I'd say definitely go Big Sky. However if Vail gets a lot of snow, it's hard to stay away from those back bowls.
