High pressure has kept any new snow away from Jackson, but if you know where to look powder can still be found. My buddy Frank enjoying the fruits of our 3 mile, 3300ft slog to the top of Poudre Mountain. The Grand Tetons loom large in the background.

Anybody have any recent experience in Tahoe? Going for my bachelor party in Feb and we have until 12/14 to cancel the cabin at 100% refund. It seems to be open but California is changing by the minute it appears.

We were wanting to do some snow tubing while in breckenridge xmas-new years. Has anyone had any experience with this ? Should I grab some tubes on Amazon or somewhere before we go or just buy/rent some when we get there ? Thougt I might could save a few bucks if I brought my own.

You can pick up sleds, etc from the grocery store. Don’t worry about bringing your own. It’s not uncommon for them to be in the closet of a rental too.
Renting one at a tubing hill business is the way to go. $20/hr and you will get your fill.

Okay. I saw Amazon had a 2 for 20$ deal for snow tubes. So that would only run me 40 bucks for the 4 of us. Have a little portable inflator thing. Just didn't wanna spend 80-150 bucks when I got there on tubes. Lol.

Check out the tubing park near Frisco.

Tubing sux. Waste of money/time. Whole time tubing I was like wtf, could be skiing instead I’m riding down a shallow grade hill on a frickin tire for 5 seconds. Did it once never again. Also I was a kid at the time so it’s not a grumpy age thing either

Day drinking is fun too but I’m not wasting a day of a ski trip on it. Tubing is an evening/night activity. Sure, it’s not a mind blowing good time, but certainly fun.

You’ll most likely rent the tubes from the spot you tube at for cheap.

Frisco adventure park tubing is where it’s at.
Definitely not a full day thing, more like a 3-4pm thing for an hour.

Much better than Keystone. The only advantage keystone has is they are open later as Frisco closes at 6pm.

The Frisco park also has a small slope for new/first time skiers to train on. We brought our equipment with us to the park so all the kids in the group could tube and train on the slope. It helps to make this a first day thing to get used to the equipment and have a little tubing fun.

What's going on with Epic passes?
I'm trying to buy right now and it says none available even though my dates show as available during Mardi Gras week.
FYI, we are going to Keystone.
edit - I now see they go on sale Dec 8th.

Pretty sure season Epic Pass sales deadline ended yesterday.
You’ll have to get tickets at the window at this point.
Eta: yes, general public passes through epic open on the 8th. Which is basically window sales without the window.

At Beaver Creek now. No crowds, great weather, empty runs. Wear a mask. Have a blast.

I just checked with our hotel on this. From what they told me, it's definitely being discussed but nothing official yet. We're leaving next Wednesday and he told me that the decision would have to be made at least 72 hours prior to departure date for it to be effective.

I would assume gaiters are fine as well. Wondering b/c we have small kids that normally ski w/ gaiters anyway. Hoping that they don't also require masks.
