oh man, I think I fricked up. I bought an Epic Pass when I should have bought an Ikon pass. How can I get out of the Epic Pass? Am I totally screwed out of that money?

I can’t help but laugh at that. They are completely different.

You can still use the Epic in the SLC area at Park City and Snowbasin. They might not be Alta or Snowbird but they did host an Olympics. Hopefully you can get it switched though.

I already paid for ski lessons at Deer Valley, which is right by where we're staying, and that's an Icon Pass resort. When I bought the Epic Pass, it said it was for Park City, UT. I thought it was for the whole town, not Park City Resort.

Damn now you've got me questioning my passes. Are the ski places in breckenridge epic pass ? Never done a ski trip before and its all a little confusing to me.

Yeah that definitely complicates things, hopefully Epic works something out with you.

There is only 1 resort in breck..

Just go to the epic or ikon website. They give breakdowns of their resorts.

Thank you. Mrs jkyle has been quarterbacking this thing pretty well so far. We are so excited. Decided to not do gifts this year and just take a ski trip. Flying out Christmas day.

You can take lessons at deer valley and then go ski with your epic pass. Depending on your lessons you might get a lift ticket for whatever mountain you’re taking lessons at. When we go to park city we’re taking lessons at Brighton because they offer family lessons and we get a full day all mount lift ticket. Then the following 5 days are our reservations at park city.

Welp, just bought the Ikon pass. If shite hits the fan, at least I can apply the purchase amount as a credit toward next year.

Looking at doing 2 days in Winter Park then 2 days in Steamboat.

She may be on top of it but those will be high volume ski days since everyone is off school/work. Be sure she made reservations for the days you want to ski, otherwise they may be full.

I actually took care of that. I camped out on the epic site the day they announced they would start taking reservations. I think we're all set. I had to sit in a queue for 30 mins or so but was able to book the 4 days I needed.

High five to that. I just logged on to my account and I see that the only days at Breck that are already full are Dec 30, 31 and Jan 1. Christmas and the days after are still open, so you still would have had time! Enjoy, lots of Louisiana folks will be there.

Crystal just opened up a ton of availability for ikon pass holders so looks like I'll be skiing every Sunday between now and the end of February. To the WA posters, let me know if you want a ride down there (mostly have sundays reserved)

Awesome. We did screw the pooch on getting reservations for the frisco adventure park. Maybe something will open up there but we would need it on the 31st so not getting my hopes up.

Breck has a free tubing hill called Carter Park. You bring your own sleds (usually your condo will have some in the closet) if you guys just want somewhere to slide down. Its pretty fun for an hour or so.

I can't help but laugh a little, not because I dont feel for your predicament, but that looks like something I would do, I would try so hard and still be holding a big pile of nothing. I hope you get it all straight.
