For those who have it, do you recommend? It’s $20 more than I currently pay but I’d be getting updated equipment plus doorbell camera.

I have had them for 9 years, and just moved into a new house where they moved with me and upgraded all my stuff. They lowered the monthly a lot to keep me on board with them because I also got a quote from ADT. My referral code is tud878 which will knock money off of both of our bills if you choose to go that route.

Don't do it. I have vivint and would advise you to just look at amazon security devices.

We went through this a couple weeks/months back.

Would not recommend starting new service with them.

Why not something like simplisafe or something similar? I am exploring that option as we speak.

Not sure if it's been answered enough, but no.

I’ve seen a lot of bad on here about them, but, I’ve had them 4+ years and have had no problems. I’m actually about to re-up with them getting all better equipment and my rate isn’t changing.

I have Simplisafe and pay $25 a month. Simplisafe is great and no contract, but $25 a month is way to much these days for security. Ring is $10 a month and won the best security award last year.

I had them for 9 years with no problem with service. When I sold the house and tried to cancel it took 2.5 months for them to finally close my account.

Vivint is the worst security system in the business. It's not the 90s. Everyone has nearly identical technology.

What are you getting for $70 a month with Vivent that you can't get for $10 a month with ring? That's $720 every year towards new security equipment.

This right here. Holy shite they are terrible at cancelling your service and it takes hours on the phone speaking to several people to get anything done. Stay away.

got ambushed by a salesguy last night. For first 5 years, $50 of this is an equipment charge.
