I am currently using Slingtv trial. I can access it directly on my Samsung through an app or is it best to use it through Roku, Apple TV, etc? Any speed differences?

I have PSVue exclusively to watch the Pels and LSU football. For the 3rd time in the last ~6 Pels games, I missed large portions of the game because Vue was having server/high usage issues. Gonna give DTV Now a shot starting Friday. It looks like it's $10 cheaper and it looks like I get all of the same channels. Hopefully it works out, because I hate giving money to ATT.

Hello hello.
So not that I'm cord cutting, I'm going the opposite direction. I got a TV for the first time in 3 years this weekend and went ahead and got a fire stick. Cave man boudini is now going to be a normal human I suppose.
Now, I'm curious as to what (if any) streaming lineups are best for me?
Wants: Some locals (nbc/cbs/abc if possible), Golf Channel, travel channel, cnbc (for shark tank), food network and I suppose hgtv for the lady. Pretty much all I seem to think I would need. When a large sporting event is on, I guess ESPN, but frick them otherwise.
It seems Sling or Hulu live are my best bets, sling would probably be the full package for $40 which is the same as Hulu live.
I do have a netflix account, as well as amazon prime. So am I missing something between those two that would provide me with what I want?
Thanks for any help.

These special offers for new subscribers is maddening. Has anyone tried just flipping back and forth between providers and staying in the new subscriber bargain basement all the time? I hate Cox and AT&T pretty equally, anything I can do to keep them from continuing to go in dry would make my day

How do you watch a Pels game? Open up PSVue and go to fox sports southwest? I just signed up for PSVue Today, after cox tv& internet went from $167 to $230.

You can do it that way, but I normally watch it with the Fox Sports Go app on my Fire TV instead of the PS Vue app. Looking at the Game Threads I find that watching it within the PS Vue app adds an additional 10-20 second delay. The Fox Sports Go app already had it's own 10-20 second delay, but I think most of us watch the games streaming now so it's not as noticeable.

Okay thanks! Do you just log in to the Fox Sports app with the PSVue login info?
Posted on 2/14/18 at 4:53 pm to Bonkers119
Yeah. I think the usual procedure is they'll make you activate your device like the FireTV by sending you to a web page where you enter a code and then activate it with a PS Vue login.

Also a word of warning with PSVue's DVR and Pels games. For some reason they stick to the 2 hour time slot, but they don't do it by cutting off early. They randomly cut part of other quarters. I guess that's better than missing the end but it still seems like just recording the whole game shouldn't be a big deal.

Good to know. Thanks. I’m not sure how much DVR I’ll be using.

Anyone try Philo out yet? have like 35 good channels for $18 a month and that includes taxes.
Came here to ask the same question. I used the Suppose.tv website and found that I need YouTube TV and Philo to get the channels I want. Haven't read much about Philo.

Probably late to the game, but I just got USA IPTV, doing the 2 day trial at the moment and it has been great. Setting up with the PVR simple client is clutch as frick. $60 a year. I don't think i've seen a better price 500+ channels plus NBA league pass NFL Sunday ticket as well.

If y’all looking for a streaming service and have new Apple TV, may I suggest YouTube TV. It is awesome.

So how do you make a VPN work with something that's connected via Wifi like the FireTV stick?
Posted on 3/3/18 at 1:57 pm to VoxDawg
Via an APP. I use VyprVPN and their app.

I just added IPVanish to my FTVS. Got it figured out. Neptune Rising is the only repo that I've gotten to work with any degree of success, though, but that's questionable, too since the sources seem to freeze after a few minutes.

Has anybody tried Area 51 iptv? $5 a month.

I use gears and limitless. Both are pretty legit.

Have you had any issues with sling? We’re building a new house and I’m thinking this is the perfect time for me to get rid of cable and all the shite I never use.
Also if I have a subscription to sling or directv now do I get access to on demand shows on cbs, nbc, hgtv, etc ?
Also can I switch between packages of directv now? That way I only pay for the package with sec network during sept-November?
