I had to uninstall and reinstall the app. It looks like the app updated but wasn't recognizing me.

For those who are keeping up, Troypoint recommends ditching Titanium and switching to Durex build for Krypton Kodi.

Been using Durex build for about 6 months. Works well and is updated regularly. They also have a good support group on Facebook.

Finally broke down and added Real Debrid....Gamechanger! Paid $19 for six months and has vastly improved my experience using Kodi.

Does it help the buffering? I have 120MBPS down via Comcast and we're constantly having to pause for buffering to allow the stream to catch up.

Yes. The buffering has nothing to do with your internet speed. It has more to do with how busy the server housing the stream is at the time you want to watch. What Real Debrid does is it scrapes programming from paid servers that may not be as busy as the free servers. For example, I may get (2) 1080p, (12) 720p, (20) SD streams when doing a free search. With RD I may get (2) 4K, (15) 1080p, (45) 720p, (75) SD streams. Many more options to find a reliable HD stream. I was never able to watch 1080p until I added RD and have tried every trick in the book over the past few years to improve buffering. I blamed it on everything except the stream itself. Try RD. I know we want everything to be free, but for $19 every 6 months, it’s worth it.

Cheap or affordable is better than free right? The catch with that is you have no recourse when things go sour. Thinking of IPTV mainly which unfortunately won't work with debrid.

Durex has a paid iptv service that I think is pretty reasonable. I don’t need it, so I haven’t checked into it. Saw some reference to it on their Facebook group page. They’re build for Kodi is already set up for it as well. Might want to check that out...

And when you have a Real Debrid acct you log into that through Kodi the same way you would Trakt, IMDB, etc?

Cord cutter of 4 yrs here. Every year we subscribe to sling tv to get the espn's to watch football. Every year it sucks. Always crashing and buffering. It's this way on the sling player (old style one) and also just logging straight into the espn website. Pretty much unusable IMO.

For the people who have other services like youtube tv, do you experience the same problems? I assume anyone who is piggybacking off the espn online stream has the same thing but I've got to find something better.

I've resorted to reddit streams which is MUCH better than the paid versions of the game. Last year espn seemed to glitch on every big play or at the worst time. I watch everything from a regular windows computer hooked up to my tv. Which services seem to stream the games better?

Took the plunge and signed up for Vaders IPTV service. Super pleased so far. Channel selection is awesome, currently watching F1 documentary on Sky Sports.

Watching playoffs on TNT and it works smoother and better than legit services. Especially ESPN's piece of shite they call a streaming app.

I'm probably going to give it a go. Unfortunately there isn't a lot except the nba finals (which isn't THAT popular) to test it with. But in the end, I guess I can always deal with the reddit streams or even the sling/espn thing if it doesn't work right. I hate to say it, but my wife's only request is she get's to watch General Hospital which we do now off abc.com. Do you think the vader 'tv catch up' would have those? I guess I could improvise some sort of tivo with xbmc/kodi if not.

World Cup is coming up which should put the biggest strain on them that they can ever face.

TV catchup seems to be down currently for me. It has ABC listed back to May 10th though, so I would think it should probably be there.

One thing to note is that the android app is ok, but seems to be very buggy. To be expected. I'm just using it as a stopgap until I get a nVidia Shield down the road and use a different Epg setup.

I use a full size windows 7 htpc. I can't stand the lag I feel on android stick systems and having a full size computer comes in handy.

I plan on building a gaming/htpc rig. But from what I've seen on the Shield, I doubt I'll need it for the htpc part.

I just installed Kodi 18 Leah Alpha Xenon 18.1.

I don't know much about it but I followed a youtube video and it seems to work OK.

I have two questions-

1) How do I add subtitles?

2) How do I find the latest episode of Jeopardy!?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking to cut the cord and like what I see from PSVue but wish they had A&E and Comedy Central. If Directv now didn’t limit to two streams at once it would be a no brained for us.

The last room I am looking to run Ethernet is my daughter’s room and her room has higher ceilings and apparently had a set of studs running horizontally across the entire length of the wall about four feet down from the ceiling. In the attic I only have about a foot clearance to fish the Ethernet down the wall so getting the proper tools in place to drill through this lower horizontal stud section is proving to be difficult.

So while I try to figure out a solution to my cable run I am debating which provider to go with. I am still on the fence but I guess leaning more toward PSVue ever so slightly.

You can now have a third stream on direct tv now for an extra 5 bucks. I love Direct tv now but that dam buffering i get in the evenings is pushing me towards ps vue.
