True. BUT metro and cricket offer heavily discounted phones for new users on very generous terms with three month commitment and 6-12 month unlocks so you can move on to the next deal. Sometimes you could even make money by using their services.

Same. 3 lines. Billed every three months. Easy Peasy.

Ex wife is paying $300 a month for 5 lines. That's exactly why I did all the shopping in the house.

My current wife has us set up for the same deal. She has to have every added feature we’re paying for but never use…because we might.

Im curious on how much cellular data you all use. Going to an MVNO puts you at the back of the line when it comes to data prioritization. You're saving money, yes, but do you see the negative impact on your data speeds?

I use Xfinity Mobile and it works pretty well. Uses the Verizon towers. Pricing is very good.

I use as much as I want. Hotspot for iPads on car trips. Hotspot for zoom calls face to face with prospects. All the streaming my heart desires. We aren’t trailer park trash. The stigma of “if I don’t pay 300% more and take out a 36 month installment loan to pay for my iPhone I’ll have inferior service”. I do live at my house and have WiFi so a lot of the time my WiFi is working in lieu of 5G.

Pro tip: if you pick a plan and it doesn’t work for you, it’s easier to pivot to another plan or carrier each month until happiness is achieved.

Switched to Visible from Verizon almost a year ago. It runs on the same Verizon network I had before and I’ve seen no noticeable difference other than paying a hell of a lot less money.

I tested visible vs my ATT where I need it and Visible was garbage signal was in comparison.

AT&T just introduced new plans and I went to their lowest one as that is all I need

Visible uses Verizon's infrastructure, that is not apples to apples. ATT's infrastructure is used by Cricket Wireless, US Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Red Pocket Mobile.

I've been on Mint for a few years and have had no issues. Worked in Canada & Mexico w/o issue too. Mint was so successful that T-mobile bought them. I keep thinking at some point T-mobile wlll fuk up Mint but so far they haven't.

I swapped to US Mobile after 20 years with AT&T. Works great, no difference other than it was $290 for a full year. My plan with AT&T was $91 a month.

We ported both of our phone numbers to US Mobile and selected the AT&T towers (Dark Star) and so far so good.
We are retired and mostly at home and I had started missing calls due to spotty Verizon coverage in our area.

Interesting note: even though we are usually connected to our local Wi-fi, if you don't have cellar service (phone was dropping from 1 bar to no bars) then Verizon automatically rolls the incoming call over to voicemail.

I am now consistently getting 3 bars of 5G from an AT&T tower that is about 3 miles from our home on Google Pixel 10 Pro.
Spouse gets 4 bars of 5G on a Samsung Galaxy S25 all for 17.50 /mo each with a yearly plan of $210 /yr each.

I have a Verizon locked Galaxy S24 Ultra, can I still switch to visible and keep the same phone?

I have 7 lines with T-Mobile and paying around $250 a month.. i started working in a new area and i had service the first couple of days then the signal went completely out. Guess they were doing work on that tower and i work on call. So i got online through Wi-Fi and got a second e SIM with us mobile and choose dark Star since i know someone that had at&t in the area and it worked fine. I only got the $10 plan for just phone calls.. i have a second number so i had to update my work to try both numbers when trying to call me to work and haven't had any issues since getting.. may just keep it as a full-time backup in case something happens again while I'm sleeping and i don't realize it to do something ahead of time. On the plus side i haven't had any spam calls to my new number.

Same, Was a Verizon customer for years and was paying over $100/monthly. Switched to Visible about two years ago and now pay $30 monthly and that includes cell service for my Apple Watch. I have noticed zero changes in coverage or data caps. It was a no-brainer.

I switched from Verizon to StraightTalk years ago for half the price. I noticed no difference except a few extra bucks in my pocket.
