Anyone happy with their new pixel? I need a phone, trying to choose between the Pixel 6/Pixel 6 Pro/ Galaxy S21 or even try to wait out the S22. Dont know how long my LG G7 is going to last.

I dont really do much on my phone. Battery life would probably be the most important thing.

IMO, if you can wait for the S22, then wait for the S22. The Pixel phones are not all that great. The non pro Pixel is probably a decent bargain, but the pro is not worth the price tag.

Having said that, I don't own one. The pixels are not made to tight standards of quality compared to the Samsung phones.

I have the Pixel 6. I like it, and the price for the non-pro is a fantastic deal. My only real complaint is that the fingerprint reader can be a little temperamental. Sometimes it works fantastic, sometimes I have to try my thumbprint 4-5 times.

I bought it to run GrapheneOS, a security-hardened version of Android that is only compatible with the Pixel series (because the Pixel series supports re-locking the bootloader with a custom ROM). So I can't really comment on the stock Pixel Android OS.

Been running iPhones since the first one was released, this is my first non-iPhone, and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm using BlueBubbles to send/receive iMessages on the Pixel 6 so none of my iPhone-using friends/family (i.e. like everyone I know) have figured out I'm no longer using an iPhone.

I have a 6pro and haven't had any major issues. Camera is great rivals all the other big names easily. Samsung has better zoom capabilities and their editing apps are better. After the January update the phone is really snappy and everything works flawlessly for the most part. They had some issues in the beginning with connectivity but I think that was mostly abroad. I love the call screening, now playing and at a glance features they are exclusive to pixel and only will get better over time. Voice to text is awesome on this phone too fastest and most accurate I've used to date. The hardware finally is catching up to the software for google I hope they don't go cheap again on hardware and always have a flagship. *If* you can get one I'd say do it. Battery life is subjective to the user they all are about the same or close to it.

I was reading about the issues and thats what was turning me off. It seemed buggy and I don't want that.

I really don't have any complaints, the fingerprint reader works good enough for me. If you throw a glass screen protector on it it will probably affect it greatly but they do that on any phone with an in display finger print reader you put a glass protector on. My S21 Ultra with a glass protector was no different. I personally loved it when it was on back of the phone

I've had a Pixel 6 Pro since launch and have had no real issues with it. Just like anything else, there are way more people who are satisfied with a product and don't make posts/comments.

The biggest complaint I see is the fingerprint sensor on the front. As long as you take a second to actually place your finger correctly, works every time for me.

I have an iphone 12 pro max and the pixel series intrigues me. The pixel phones seemed like a toy/game for google prior to the pixel 6/pro but now that they're making they're own chips, they're gonna start getting good over the next iteration or 2. Plus knowing that they plan to launch the pixel watch series with "hey google" built into it (Samsung has shitty bixby), they're gonna eat into Apple's stronghold a decent bit.

I'm just gonna say this, I've had the lgv40 for the last 3 years and was forced by TMobile to get a new phone because i was with Sprint Ave they said the v40 wasn't going to be compatible after sometime this year with their towers changing over. They gave it to me for free so I can't really complain. I miss my v40 though. I think i would go back to either Samsung or try something different after this phone. I miss my headphone jack because now i have to make sure my Bluetooth headphones are charged. Also, i can't connect to some tvs to mirror cast because of something with the newer pixels. I like the idea of having quicker updates to Android. The finger print scanner is a pain to mess with. The v40 was much quicker. Also i don't like how the camera pokes out. The case i have makes it all even but it's a lot bulkier now. And the speaker volume isn't as loud as the v40. I also find the antenna isn't as strong as the v40 because a lot of places i had decent signal before i don't now and plus that i switched to T-Mobile sim i no longer roam where i did before.. i just don't have a signal.. once all my other family phones are paid off i may switch carriers.

I got a Pro in December. I have no complaints and haven't had any real issues I can think of. Most of the things I've read about I haven't experienced. Not sure if just lucky or what.

I have a 6 and, other than preferring the fingerprint scanner in my 3a, I've had 0 issues.

The AI in voice to text is incredible. Having "5g" access and that improvement were the main reasons I upgraded.

I'm also not the biggest fan of the new OS, but that's not directed at the 6 as a phone. I'm getting more used to it, though.

This sounds like a load of horse shite and I'm not even an Android user anymore....but I did own 3 different generations of the Pixel and it was a great phone with no quality issues on any version I owned.

My 6 just updated (everything turned green) so I guess I should reserve judgement, but so far it's kinda sucked. Intermittent failure to connect with UConnect, and web pages resizing or otherwise jumping around such that I often click on the wrong thing.

I got the 6 Pro. Should be here monday. Was hoping the update would fix the issues and seems like it does.

I tend to keep phones 3 or 4 years and really only upgrade when the batteries start failing.

My LG G7 has been a tank, always liked LG Phones. The charger port is going out and only the wireless charging works. Battery only lasts until about noon.

If I could hold out until the S22 came out I probably would, but it was such a pain in the arse the other day trying to keep the phone charged I just decided on the pixel.

Got the pixel 6 pro.

Seems like a nice phone.

The phone is slick. Why would they make a phone this slick. It just slides around like butter. Makes a case 100% necessary.

I cannot imagine not using a case for any phone.

You guys had me upgrade today. Checked the At&t webiste when you posted this question and saw that they were offering $800 trade in credit for my Pixel 4.

Only gripe is the size of the new Pixel, had no clue the Pixel 4 was so "small" by today's standards.
