Let’s talk phone cases

Just ordered the new iPhone and will want a case to go on it. All I’ve had for as long as I can remember is a Spigen tough armor and a otterbox commuter. Anyone have any similar/better options or should I just stick to what I know?

Currently have a Monocarbon brand and I like it. Had Spigen before and they are ok, the finish never seemed to hold up.
For tablets I get unicorn beetle and they have great everytime.

Have one on my Pixel called Ghostek that's been awesome.

I'd probably be scared to do it on a brand new phone, but I've been using a Dbrand leather skin. Really like not having the bulk and weight of a case.

Apple leather case with MagSafe
No longer exists, Apple did away with leather cases. Its now some kind of woven case.

I went with the apple silicone case and ZAGG screen protector when I bought my 12Pro. The screen protector has a lifetime warranty, and I'm already on my 3rd free screen protector.
I prefer the slimmer design since I keep the phone in my pocket, but wanted something not as sleek as the other phones, the silicone case has a rubber feel so the phone won't slip out of my pocket/hand
In regard to durability, I did drop 5 gallons of limestone rocks on the phone. Chipped the plastic edges of the case and had to order my first replacement shield. Phone looked brand new when I took it out of the case to inspect.

I bought an Apple woven case but haven't opened it yet. Initial reviews I saw were not good and I may return it. Also bought a Nomad leather case and it seems to be pretty nice, so we'll see.
For the last 2 years I've had a Peak Design case, which is a great case, one of the best I've owned (I was an Apple leather loyalist for a long time). The Peak Design case is fabric but it doesn't pick up lint, provides good grip and protection, is slim and doesn't get hung up in your pocket (like silicone). The only reason I didn't get it this time is because the one I wanted went on backorder. I also don't use the Peak Design mount system anymore (which is is a good system I just don't have a use for it so it's overkill).

Using the fine woven case now, it’s definitely different coming from a leather case. The back feels like a fabric material and the sides feel more like plastic. We will see, Apple has a pretty easy return policy.

This is where I am at, really looking at the nomad, have the woven case already. Not sure how I feel about it. Loved the apple leather case.

I was worried the Nomad would be a lot clunkier than the Apple, but it doesn't seem to be. My only real issue with the Apple leather was that they seemed to decline in quality over the years and mine would get worn in and the grip wasn't very good. Nomad seems like it'll stay a little grippier thanks to how the sides are.

I have a leather Black Brook case for my S22 Ultra. It looks nice and even better after it wears.

I actually just ordered a Mujjo leather off Amazon to get here on friday. Nomad should be in the Verizon store on Friday for me to check out. I didn't realize the nomad had plastic sides, I like the full leather of the apple case.
Looks like Mujjo went magsafe compatible as well, that would have been a deal breaker for me to not be able to use my Etsy 4 card magsafe wallet.

Don't buy RhinoShield. After 2 years, it won't hold your phone securely anymore. Very disappointing for what I gave for it.

Mujjo leather cases on Amazon are the perfect replacement case for people who want something similar to the Old Apple leather cases. Leather is a bit nicer quality and a bit more coarse than Apple leather.

I’ve always gone with Spigen and had good results with them.
Protected my iPhone 11 for 3+ years, and went with same thing on my new 15.

Went with a Spigen Rugged Armor and glass screen protector. Liking it so far, feels solid and doesn't add a lot of bulk. Got both the case and screen protecter for under $40 on Amazon.
