My 18 year old 55" Samsung has died.
With what should I replace it?
I don't do gaming; I just need a good tv.

Just go to Best Buy and compare the different series of Samsung TVs. There are multiple product lines (QLED has two 65" and two 55" models, UHD series has F models and H models) and just pick which of the models you like. I didn't compare any ultra fancy or advanced lines, since if you've kept a 55" for that long, you're probably more a value customer.

I don't have a suggestion on which one but both Best Buy and Costco have great selections.

Samsung software is poo. Sony with Google is far better.

I was your same position but my 18 year old Samsung still works. I went with a Samsung S95F.

Spent a lot of time researching, as it was to replace a 2007 plasma. Ended with the 65 Sony brava 8 . Costco had it at $1599(200 off) and a 5 year warranty. Sure to be on sale again soon

If you buy a new Samsung, and you allow it on your home network, consider blocking it from accessing the internet or block these domains for outbound traffic.

That was a pretty expensive tv at that time. I purchased a 46" Samsung in 2007 that also played 3D with the right glasses and Blu-ray. I gave it all to my son. Still works. It was $2599 and I got it on a model closeout at the incredible price (at that time) of $1699.00.
My, how times have changed in TV land since then.

If you have an 18 year old TV, basically ANYTHING you buy to replace it will be an upgrade.

I run tvs 15+ hours a day at work. LGs are the mid range and price but hold up as well as anyone . Sony is good but they cost more
