Can any streamers comment?

Is 24 MBPS enough to run:

- Multiple streaming devices at once? (Apple TV in one room Roku in another?

- Xbox One gaming + 1 of these streaming devices at once?

- Add up to 3 wireless devices at once?
As long as you're not streaming multiple 4K streams at once, then you should be okay.

My brother and his wife have AT&T with 14 mbs and they don't have any problems with both of them using multiple devices at once.

priorities when you have kids

you give up your social life, bank account, and sanity

however, 4k streaming...that's the line above it all

I play a lot of games on PC, my two year old watches Disney Jr on the iPad a lot, and my wife watches Netflix a good bit (not all the time). We average about 250gb a month.

We don't usually stream for very long though. Longest we will go is a sporting event that's not on TV coverage, and that's pretty rare. We may chew some of that up for SEC+ this football season though, but may still not even come close to the TB they give you.

This isn't targeted at you. This is clearly a targeted dick swing in the faces of people who don't have TV coverage or any type of cable. Streaming is our cable

frick.

This new ISP (EarthLink) uses DSL, not cable.

Had horribly inconsistent service with ATT DSL.

Just unbelievably stupid.

I read somewhere that it costs Cox $0.11 to "produce" 50 gb of data

Haven't heard anything here. I did read that Cox is only doing this in certain states though.

I pay $99 for 150mpbs in Norman OK.

We're actually building south of town and my future neighbor says they only option there is Windstream.

Probably going to bite the bullet and switch to EarthLink while we're in Norman. Out of principle. frick Cox.

Aren't HD movies only like 3gb? How is this even a concern unless you watch TV 10+ hours a day?

an hour of HD tv uses 3-5GB an hour

4k streaming uses 7-10GB

very easy to blow through a TB of data in a month.

Too bad that they colluded to keep Google Fiber from spreading. It would have been the game changer that the market needed.
