So I have a new tenant and she only has cash app, so
I add cash app. She sends the rent. I go to link my checking account and it asked all the security questions. I got all them correct. And it gets the final step and says LINK FAIL

So then I called the bank and CASH APP, they are no help

So I attempted to click “instant transfer “ (it’s a 9$ charge ) and BOOM, money is correctly deposited

So…..I’m not about to lose 9$ a month

Suggestions?

Then only transfer money every quarter. /s

I've never had an issue linking accounts though. Is it a business account? Look for an alternative option to verify

It’s a percentage so it would be higher than 9 if it was 6000$

Suggestions

There are 2 ways to transfer money with cash app with most banks. First is instant which involves a fee. The second is a regular transfer that takes 2-3 days and no fee. Bigger banks will have the free option. Smaller banks and CU will only have instant deposit.

Tenant needs to find another way to pay you in accordance with the terms of your lease agreement.

A friend told me that Cash app is only used by strippers and escorts. Can you verify that?

Seems like the tenant should be accommodating you payment requirements and not the other way around. Or just make the tenant pay an extra $25 a month fee for using her app.

Not sure if you deal with renters but the majority are broke as hell. Extra 25$ is not an option

Regions has Zelle. I would advise tenant to use Zelle.

Cash app is the app for a certain population that doesn't have the best relationship with banks

So pass the $9 back to her and let her choose if she will be an adult or not.

I’m guessing this property isn’t worth running a proper screening for?
