Has anyone on here played Akka Arrh or Fix-it Felix? The former is one of the last of the golden grail ROMs which was dumped earlier this year and the latter..well I don't know if there's an 'official' version of it since it didn't exist. I saw it on the side of the @games multicade though.

Soooooo.... I was able to get a 3rd gen golden tee from Marshall’s after their second markdown, so for $140! The question now is, do I:
1) return the one I bought at $200?
2) mod this golden tee and have a cabinet with both joysticks/buttons and rollerball?
3) try to trade locally for an MKII or TMBT or marvel vs capcom cab?

My goal is to mod one horizontal cab, either keep a Pac-Man cab as is or mod for vertical games, and keeps golden tee as is.

Im really not sure which way to go but I enjoy hearing this board’s input

I can’t believe how heavy these things are, particularly with the risers. I made the mistake of carrying the first one by hand through the store and then to my car. That left me with some bruises and sore muscles for sure. You’ve been a great resource on this board, hogkiller, I would totally let you have it at cost, but I’m in California.

I know of Akka Arrh, but didn't keep up with it getting dumped.

I know someone was working on a fan version game of Fix It Felix when the original movie came out and a bunch of people recreated the cab. I'm not sure if an official game was ever released.

Alright lol, small world isn’t it? They should check out the Marshall’s in Riverside, I might do that tomorrow actually. The one in Moreno Valley is where I got Pac man and they had a golden tee on Monday but not today. I got the second golden tee in San Bernardino. They had nothing else. I got the first one in Redlands and they didn’t have anything else, today, either.

In the meantime, I might pursue a trade for a TMNT I see on OfferUp. But get back to me, I’ll send my regular email to you from the other account. I think shipping would be prohibitive. You might be better off buying for in store pickup from Walmart, frankly speaking

That screen is tiny for that control board. It’s pretty much the same setup I have on my full size TMNT cab.

I can’t say that I think too much of arcade1up’s customer service. There are a few noticeable scratches on the inner edge of the control panel of my Pac-Man unit, and today I noticed a dead pixel. Both times, while they got back to me quickly, was a stock response that they “are only authorized to replace parts that affect the actual game play or the assembly.”

I guess this doesn’t include a dead white pixel that is continuously present. Whatever.

Hogkiller, have you had a chance to chat with your in-laws? I’ll hold on to the unit for a little while longer, but I need to return it within 30 days of purchase if I want to get a refund.

Return it. They arent shipping a pod for a few months down here because they are renovating a house so take it back. By that time, I will find me one. Thanks!

I have decided that I want Arcade only games for the 1UP. Too many issues with either having to have the actual controller for the Emulated system or mappings can be a nightmare. For example the Dragon's lair Roms use Daphne emulator and it took me several hours to figure out how to map the right buttons.

What are you using for your setup, retro pie or a PC?

On PC I t’s not that hard to set up different emulators for whatever layout you want and then use a front end that will automatically pull up each emulator. Retropie should do it all automatically.

It is nice having all the RGB controls so you know which buttons and joysticks are active for every game.

One of my biggest disappointments is how shitty the joystick is. My very next upgrade is a true 4-way stick that doesn't go clickity click and screws me every time I need to turn in a hurry.

I hear great things about this guy:

twisted quarter $13 4 or 8 way joystick

Try this in, you will NOT be sorry. This is what I use on my cocktail table. Everyone got frustrated with the cheap ones in short order, they were missing turns and movements. These have been in play for almost a year and have been bulletproof.
