I've go a 65" Sanyo about three years old, and a 65 " Samsung about 6 mo old. I can't tell any difference in picture quality. Samsung was twice the price of the Sanyo.

Android version you say? No shite. Android is shite. Mine is a Roku setup. Doesn’t have that issue.

Under $500?

But the TCL Roku TVs. Fantastic TVs for the money, and Roku makes a really easy to use UI.

Hisense is really good on the cheaper end too.

Samsung, Vizio, Sony, LG
Can't go wrong with any of them. My personal preference is Samsung though

LG CX 65 and I love it

I got the same and I agree 100%. It's great out of the box, but pay the few extra bucks for an A\V dude to come out and calibrate to the lighting in the room. The picture will blow you away!

LG OLED blows everything out of the water it’s not even funny. Sony OLED are legit as well but not worth the price over the LG and less HDMI 2.1 connections.

Another vote for the TCL 4k Roku TVs. I also own a couple of Vizio's band really like them but wish they had the Roku interface.

That’s true but for under $500 you can get more bang for your buck from other brands. LG OLED costs thousands, but you’re right, it’s amazing.

Lol, LG OLEDs destroy Samsung (and every other brand) and it’s not even close

OP, get a CX in 65” or 77” and don’t look back.

I got my kid a 58" Vizio from Walmart for $298. I'm sure the blacks aren't black and you can't watch it in direct sunlight. But damned if it isn't a great larger size tv for less than $300.

Most people can't tell the difference between a $300 tv and a $3k tv if you sat them down without them knowing the prices. If he ends up throwing his xbox controller through it, then I won't have to kill him trying to get thousands of dollars of beatings out of him.

I've had 5 Samsung's. Only one hasn't had any issues. I seriously have no idea why Samsung's get so much praise.

Once my last two Samsung's bite the dust, I'll replace them with any brand beside a Samsung. I also have a Toshiba, a Sansui, and a Philips....no issues at all with them and I've had them for numerous years now.

I'm currently in the market for a 120 hz 4K TV, and I'm currently leaning towards an LG. To hell with Samsung.

You're paying for the name. Samsung doesn't have the best picture. Don't get me wrong they make excellent tvs but they aren't the best. I own a Samsung and it's a great TV but I'm not going to say it's the best.

The LG Cx series is the best TV right now and no Samsung can touch it.
