Looking to buy a portable bluetooth speaker for the beach for under $100?

Found a UE Wonderboom 2 on Amazon for $70. I've also seen the Soundcore Flare+ and Motion+ and some JBL varieties for closer to or over $100.

Any opinions and recs?

Had one of these that I used for 3-4 years before it finally crapped out on me last month. Loved it.

Check out Braven Balance.
I have had one for a few years now and it still works great.

IPX7 waterproof rating. All day battery life. Can charge your phone with it.

UE Megaboom II is really nice for a portable but more like $125.

The JBL's are great speakers but once sand gets in them, on them, near them... its permanent

Mine has only made it to the beach 4-5 times and no issues at all. I do make it a point to not include it in my sandcastles.

It also gets used 4-5 times per week for a few hours each time with no issues. I will buy another in a heartbeat if mine goes out.

I got some referb mega booms off amazon for 70$ ea last prime day. I like them because I can link the 2 and spread it out so everyone can hear them. If you have one speaker and a large group you wind up being too loud for some and not enough for others. Some friends have more too so we hook up 4 and surround ourselves with music. Battery last all day and I just sit them in the sand.

Then when charging in the condo I spread them around for music up there.

LINK

We've had this one since July of 2016 according to Amazon. Used to use it around the house and have taken it to the pool/beach several times. It also has an aux cord plug in, charges over Micro USB, and is splash proof.

None. I can't stand when people show up to the beach and want to blare their sounds like a public radio station. Trying to relax, not listen to someone's Jack Johnson.
