It is working fine overall, not sure what I was expecting speed wise. IF on my wireless laptop, I get about 250Mb down and 300Mb up. I was sort of thinking speeds would be higher, especially when not using other devices at the time.

This bottleneck is most likely your wifi, not the AT&T internet. If you are plugged in you should see much higher speeds.

I get 400-500 on wireless devices but 980 when plugged in.

I have an Apple TV 4K, can the installer get a hard wire to that room to connect to the Apple TV? I know it makes a big difference in streaming quality

I have it. Its been great. Almost 0 outages and speeds are extremely fast.

Same. I've only had it for 3 months but 0 complaints.

I have an Eero mesh system, did IP Passthrough on the ATT router/ONT and, to my surprise, zero issues.

We just switched over to fiber the day after Christmas

It’s been great bc we have a bunch of devices (like 15) on the wifi at any given time and it hasn’t been lagging or anymore disconnects compared to the old wiring

Once in a while it will buffer but it’s rare

have had for 3 years here in jax. it has gone out like twice for an hour at most.It is awesome. Paying 50 a month for it now. then back to 70 in may. The speeds are really good. You will love it. No data caps is what makes it really great. Comcast has data caps At&T does not. If you have a family that does streaming/gaming etc..You will really love it.

I've had it for about 2 years.

One outage that was related to a database issue on ATT's side (long story). Other than that, it's been rock solid. I've never been able to get gigabit speeds...not sure why, I consistently get 600 up/down, which is plenty.

Can't recommend it enough.

If you have wifi dropouts in your house that isn't fiber related. Recommend using ATT's modem in passthrough mode and go with an aftermarket router solution. I have a router with a separate wired access point. Mesh systems work well too if you can't run ethernet cable for APs.

they have 100Mbps and 300Mbps plans that usually start around $30-35/month and also have no data caps.

I've got the 100Mbps for $35, because of DirectTV. Have a mesh wifi system and get 110 Mbps all over the house. Good enough for a family of 5 to be streaming whatever with no lag.

ETA- I had Cox for years. Probably had to restart the modem 1-2x a week, every week. I've had AT&T for 4-5 years now, had to restart maybe 2x since.

On my work laptop plugged in when nothing else is happening in the house, I'm only getting about 300mbps. I don't know if it's the orbi or I'm just not getting the throughput I should be.

Thankfully cox offers their full lineup of speeds, but I only stick to the 300/30 tier bc I dont have the need for their asymmetrical 1000/30 tier. I need more upload for my plex server and streaming pls

I think currently At&t has removed all data caps from their fiber offerings.

I went with Hulu for TV, and it will sometimes crash, and buffer for 5 seconds or so, maybe 2-3 times a night. I bought new TV's for the house, my main ones are Samsung curves. I contacted Hulu and they told me that they have some buffering issues with Samsung TV's. Not sure I believe it, but that is what they told me.

I primarily watch Hulu through my Samsung TV and never have problems. I dropped Hulu live in late Oct, so don't know if it's a recent thing.

Wish I had Fiber as an option, the best AT&T offers in my area is 25Mbps for $45. I keep checking every month
