So, it's said that as humans we are creatures of habit. It's in our nature to fight against change lol, because we love hanging on to our security blankets. Now that being said these two are always intivating and changing how we see things. I personally will always choose team android for several reasons but that's just because lol Apple is a cult. Jk ..I just feel like Apple can't compete with the Google play store for one. Anyway I'm team Android.. or Samsung. What says you?

Was on Android since its inception until the S22 Ultra wife talked me into trying Apple starting with the 14 Pro Max. As a hard core Android fan I can tell you they both have their advantages but the ones that Apple has isn’t enough to keep me on it, I’ll most likely go back later this year to Android or early next year when the next Ultra comes out. Apple kinda forces you to like their preferences is the best way to describe my experience. IMessage, video recording and Face unlock are the advantages for Apple, every place else they are second IMO.

a. I've said for a very long time that if you buy into the total ecosystem, then Apple is by far the better option.

b. Android has much better messaging than iMessage. Reliance on iMessage goes back to (a) above.

Apple has done such a nice job playing mental games with that blue bubble. As soon as I get a green bubble text I’m like “oh, look at this fricking trash ball”.

I will never understand this irrationality.

I thought this was just an internet meme/joke until one of my friend's gf's told him they wouldn't make it if he didn't switch to Apple

Do Apple people only use one type of messaging or something?

I have an iPhone 14 for work. I try to like it but it's boring AF. It also is terrible for doing anything work related. Handling files is trash, working in excel is a pain.

I’m curious to see how the AI wars play out. Google has just been historically bad at productizing things outside of a few success like search and maps and android itself.

If Apple doesn’t blow it, Siri GPT should kick off a new upgrade cycle in phones and expectation of usefulness. Will Google be able to get out of their own way and let their tech shine when this happens? Or will they create a new green bubble situation? History already suggests that Google was likely going to screw themselves yet again. They aren’t off to a great start burning the Gemini brand right after launching it.

That seems to be easily fixable. It's not a foundational/tech issue as much as a filtering issue.

Apple hasn't innovated in years and they just scrapped their car program. They also don't have the data to fall back on to develop AI like Google. Apple will have to spend a metric frick ton to catch up.

Google securing a licensing deal with Reddit is major. Also, when AI moves from text-based to more advanced inputs like video and audio, Youtube is going to give Google the underlying dataset to dominate.

I'm more tech savvy than the average person, but I use Apple phones. I view the phone as an appliance and not a tinker toy which is what a lot of android users want. I have Linux at home in a self-contained environment where if it blows up it doesn't matter.

If you're into tech, Android easily.

If you're over 45 or a girl, Apple is made just for you.

Android, bc it would be exhausting caring/thinking about other peoples phones as much as some iPhone users do. I can read my texts in peace not ever considering what phone the sender has and how you've been told to feel about it.

bruh, you're either pro-datamining or against it. you cant try to call out Google for datamining and then say "its ok, apple only does it a little bit". also they aren't just doing it a little bit.
