This was eye opening. I posted a review of a robot vacuum that was rejected because of consumer guidelines. In which I apparently was reviewing the company more than the product. I dont know about you but the warranty is pretty much part of the product buying experience for me.

Just makes me wonder how many bad reviews are not shown for items I would like to purchase.

For completeness this is the rejected review of a deebot m80.:

quote:

As others have stated my vacuum broke within 2 months. One of the wheel motors is clicking causing it to get stuck.
Customer service appeared to be great at first. They approved a replacement unit to be sent out. On April 11th I submitted warranty claim. On April 17th I was informed I would receive new unit in 3-8 business days. On May 2nd I contacted again after no unit was sent and I was told there was an issue in their shipping department. They would let me know tracking number when a new unit was sent.

Now almost 10 days later there is no word when or if they will ever send this unit. I asked 2 times for an update in the last 5 days with no return email.

I'd take most of the reviews on Amazon with a grain of salt. It is standard practice for people to buy reviews nowadays. I'm honestly fed up with Amazon, the fact that they are innundated with garbage products, and I haven't been buying anything off of there for a while.

They favor the vendors more than consumers now

I went so far as to contact support and they filled out a request form about my review to have it looked at again.

They sent me an email yesterday rejecting it again.

That's horseshite. The service a seller provides is absolutely part of the product itself. No wonder Amazon's customer service has gotten so bad recently.

My response:

quote:

The "seller" of this item was Amazon Services Inc.

I never mentioned Amazon in my review. ECOVACS is not the seller.

How can Amazon list a bullet point of "1 Year warranty"

In trying to sell this product but I am forbidden from reviewing the 5th bulleted spec for this product?

This is eye opening on how Amazon deals with reviews. There is a complete lack of integrity in your review process that now makes me question ever making any big ticket purchases with your company. Bad reviews of applicable bulleted items are being rejected thus falsifying the avg review of your products for sale.

Interesting to note that this is a "sponsored" vendor with Amazon

Your review has 1 line about the product and the rest about customer service from the seller. So it should be rejected. Nobody wants to read that in a product review.

I left a below average (not scathing) review of a set of LED light bulbs I ordered through amazon. I was contacted by the company multiple times and asked to alter my review—I was offered more bulbs for free if I would make it sound better. I told them I didn’t want more crappy bulbs and didn’t change it. I was then told that my return had not been completed despite having confirmation through UPS and that I wouldn’t receive refund. I called Amazon directly and they straightened it out

Ecovacs was not the seller Amazon was. Amazon lists the warranty as part of the product.

The warranty is a component of the product not the seller who is Amazon.

The one dealing/problem I have had with Amazon they took care of the problem right away.
I have had major problems with Direct tv/ATT. They just gave me lip service and the problem didn't go away but neither did I. I think a lot of customer service hopes are that people will just give up and go away. I don't care the amount of money or the size of a problem I expect problems to be corrected and not at my expense.

Were there multiple sellers? If so, I can see it getting rejected. If it was an exclusive seller, I can see it staying. The problem when there are multiple sellers of a product is that your negative review of one of those sellers affects the rest.

There is a newer tech brand that is popular on this board who gave everyone in my company one of their products for free just for giving it a 5 star review on Amazon.

Many of the reviews are fake, written by folks who are affiliated with a seller or get paid.

Those "verified purchaser" labels mean little. Sellers solicit people to buy the product, review it, and then they are reimbursed the purchase price.

Just 1 seller...

Amazon was the seller. This item is a sponsored item I guess meaning Ecovacs gives Amazon money to push their product. Ecovac is the brand. My review was based solely on the product breaking in 2 months and the lack of warranty service which was already approved for replacement.
