Okay they were still a worse team when he played.
I don’t agree with that at all. Watching the actual games, Belgium is better as a whole with him than without him.

They had a similar result against an inferior US team in a World Cup knockout game without him as they did in a World Cup warmup with him, saying anything different is some straw man shite.

Defense wins championships. Spain has only given up only 1 goal all tournament

That guy who threw away so much money betting on them beating Cape Verde has to be more angry each match
Spain wins.

Yes, I’m still salty about the VAR costing Norway the win(should have disallowed the wire goal, should not have disallowed the goal on the corner for a “push” while the defender is holding)

What a gigantic gash this guy is going out complaining about refereeing that wasn't bad AT ALL. Which is shocking considering how awful Barton normally is.

He should question why he left Dembele on for the full 90 minutes and started tchouimeni and rabiot against that Spanish midfield.

That’s a great point. Spain’s midfield was always going to be better at chocking the game.

That’s a terrible take. It was a clear foul. Awarding a retake over a free kick was charity.

You serious? That game sucked. Started off with a lame penalty. Spain's second was a really good goal but there weren't any other good chances for either side the whole game. France looked like the US unable to play basic passes, make basic touches etc...

I was stuck at work so was watching it about 2 minutes at a time, missed the PK but saw the 3rd Lamine Yamal goal that was offsides. Maybe that made it seem better haha

I was blown away by how dominant Spain looked

It's a penalty but i kinda hate how Lamal was already going down. I don't think he was even trying to settle the ball, simply potentially saw that Digne might not have seen him coming and gambled on getting kicked as opposed to actually trying to steal possession.

This.

Soccer needs to change this rule.

Yamal flopped into a foul.

He was not going for the ball. He was going for the foul.

that’s cherry picking at its finest

There is always jostling for position, two arms fully extended resulting in a player flying to the ground is going to draw enough attention for a restart at minimum. Getting called back by VAR and still getting a corner over a free kick is more than fair.

He went to and played the ball (in a weird afraid of contact way) towards the goal/end line.

He was kicked as directly in the thigh as a human can be kicked not inside an octagon.

It was inside the box.

PK

If you want to talk about the yellow card he should have gotten on the Mbappe tackle I’m all ears.

Reminded me of the USA/Belgium match. Spain felt like the disrepsected team while France was getting all of the love. Spain was fricking locked in today.
