The scheduling for most of this tournament has been shite locally
And not even great for most of Europe either
Makes ZERO sense to not have games going on a Saturday from around noon on
Waiting until 4pm to start is absurd

Doku and Trousers would certainly be a handful with KDB directing traffic. De Ket doesn’t strike any fear. Iran is ranked 20, so somewhat comparable who tied Belgium 0-0, but we have a better offense than Iran and Egypt. We’re winning 3-1

I felt like I was watching the South Korea World Cup laying in bed and watching at midnight last night.

they only managed ties against Egypt and Iran.

Off in game one.
No Doku in game two.

They beat us 5-2 earlier this year.

This ain’t the 2018 Belgium team. In their last two WC appearances they are 2-3-1. Wins over Canada and New Zealand, and a loss to Morocco.

This is the Belgium that dropped 5 goals on us 2 months ago tho

We almost always make the R16. Are we any different than we ever were? We need to make the QF for this to be a success.
The US have won exactly one knockout game since 1930. Beating a top 10 European team in a knockout game to get to the QF would be huge

I think I blocked that game out of my memory. Doku absolutely dragged Weah all game on the wing. Hopefully with Dest and Freeman on the right they can contain him. Dest has been fantastic covering defensively so far.

They’re going to hit them with a surprise attack.

Does Argentina sit Messi tonight against Jordan or let him get a couple goals first?

To now our path is Bosnia, Belgium, Spain, France, Argentina
We were never getting the path implied after 1 matchday in which eventual group winners were in 2nd/3rd after draws and mid teams were in 1st after wins

Once an actual tournament plays out, there aren’t really 5-game paths that don’t suck. So no point getting bothered by names. That said,

Bosnia is as favorable a first opponent as we could ask for

Belgium is not the standard they once were

Spain isn’t anywhere near as good as the Euros edition. They may be supremely talented but they are back to having issues scoring

France, got nothing there
