Why does the clock continue to run during the hydration breaks?

FIFA is so retarded.

Iran New Zealand could be a fun one tonight. Should expect both teams to be going for the win knowing this is the best chance for both to get 3pts through the group. And a win would mean all alone in first place.

Bielsa

Fans are already pissed at him coming into this, especially after the 5-1 loss to us.

If Saudi ends up thrashing them tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if Uruguay makes a change tomorrow

This group could have some really unexpected standings after matchday 1

Just got home from Belgium/Egypt:

--stadium was easily 80-85% Egypt fans. I'm assuming that's just because their population is 12X as big?

--I was hoping for better atmosphere, but it was a bit muted. Even both goals weren't that big of a celebration

--The Egyptians toot on a horn and yell "Masr" (sounds like 'mahs') over and over and over again

Expecting Friday with the US to be much more lit. Will report back.

Uruguay is really fumbling the bag.

With the way their schedule is, they could’ve gotten to the Spain game on matchday 3 having already locked up a knockout round spot

ETA: They still can, but they look like warm arse right now

Legit jealous. Thanks for sharing your experiences, cool to hear this stuff. On TV the fans looked into it but not a lot of chants. Belgians are kind of reserved but I would have expected more from the Egyptians, they’re kind of a fiesty people.

Spain has no shot to win, this reminds me of a few of their runs with the golden boys. They had no Forward, who could play in the middle, and had to get a Brazilian to play for them for christs sake.

They have no Forward who can play in center, and the big thing, finish.

Yamal and rest are wingers or play behind the center forward.

Having a center forward also gives the wingers more room.
