Looking forward to watching these matches in Qatar. I'm going with the Peruvians and Costa Rica. Jesus, I'm glad we managed to avoid having to play this playoff match. I honestly don't think I could have handled 12 years between US world cup appearances. I can't believe the Italians are experiencing this exact nightmare. Freaking Italy. The Azzurri. 4 time winners. European champions. They must be losing their mind.

Not sure how Mancini is still the manager.

He won the euros a year ago. That’s probably why.
I’ll take CR. My heart says ‘stralia but my head says Peru.

Saying 12 years between World Cups sounds a lot worse than saying missing two in a row. That's pretty mild blowing. Hard to believe Brazil was 8 years ago.

Howard
FabJo-Gonzalez-Besler-Beasley
Jones-Cameron
Zusi-Bradley-Bedoya
Dempsey
That was our XI in the last World Cup match we played.
6 of those guys are retired now. While the other 5 are all in the semi-retirement stage of their careers in MLS.
Our goal scorer, wunderkind Julian Green, is now 27 years old. The fact that he is that old now hit me square in the face.

Can still see Jurgen’s meat flaps shaking in slow motion as he double fist pumped in the rain after the US lost to Germany to advance.

Incas vs. Convicts.
Fun Fact: Great Britain started shipping convicts to Botany Bay in 1788 because they could no longer ship them to Georgia due to the Revolution.
You’re welcome!
Advance Australia Fair!

Not sure Australia has the skill. Golden opportunity wasted.
