What made you think that?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 2:55 pm to pvilleguru
Because of the strong support for the centennial crest
Posted on 3/3/14 at 2:59 pm to gptigerfan
The federation has expressed zero desire to change the crest. Fans have been expressing their dislike of it for years. The centennial crest didn't start the outcry.

Collars PLUS Buttons? Still a golf shirt.
Can we see a list of other nations and clubs that have used this design combination recently?
Quite a good-looking jersey if I do say so myself.

So, Man U and Arsenal are also going with buttons and collar this season?
Sounds like Nike is making a push to make jerseys less jersey-like, just like adidas has done with NBA shirseys this year.

The all-white is what sets it apart in a bad way from the Arsenal and to a lesser extent the French kits.

collar and buttons isn't it for soccer jerseys.
lulz

Yeah I think this jersey would have been totally awesome with some colored accents and the centennial crest.
As it looks now it's just ok. Not terrible like some people think, but not great either. I won't be buying it, because I just bought the centennial kit and I think it looks better.

Exactly. It's just, there. The hoops gave our kit an identity. This not so much

I just think it looks like it belongs on a golf course instead of a soccer field.
Even if this were true, wouldn't you rather look like you belonged on a golf coarse instead of a soccer field when out in public? I think it's a nice kit.

They have some faint stripes on there but I think more prominent red stripes a la 2006 would have been better.

Not if I'm wearing a soccer jersey.

Even most of those with collars don't look like polo shirts. They still look somewhat like a soccer kit.

And I don't like those either.

In the 90's yes they did
Is everyone forgetting those big arse golf polo's back in the day with big collars. Jerseys were the exact same way.

I remember everytime our coach would ask us to pick a jersey we would always go with the one that had the collar. And we always beat the hobos wearing collarless jerseys.

I'd really like to know what distinction you're seeing. Just buttons?
