No depth at forward, and he's scored 15 goals this season.

I just hope once we start cranking up the Gold Cup, we don't banish everyone that is a established vet.

I don't feel like fricking around in the 2nd Gold Cup of the cycle again and missing out on the Confed Cup.

We should have a new manager by then, so I'm sure everyone will be in play.

It really is odd that we still haven’t made a hire yet.

You say this like it's normal for a federation to have a GM... This whole post Jurgen/Bruce/Gulati process has been odd.

What's normal doesn't matter.

Well trying to secure the 2026 WC while trying to overhaul the federation is an odd circumstance.

I see your point, but, and this might be the homer in me, but someone like Dwyer has 12 goals, his team is almost eliminated from the playoffs, is a more traditional striker, and has only been to one camp at the Gold Cup last summer.

We're essentially arguing over forwards that won't be on the team if we're using a full strength squad.

I'm definitely not backing Zardes, but if we're ever having to rely on either Zardes or Dwyer, we're in trouble.

Never said it did, just pointing it out.

Hiring a GM has nothing to do with that, considering that there is no precedent.

The USSF is going outside of the box here and if it doesn't work, it'll set soccer back further here than anything Bruce, Jurgen or Gulati did. The fact that there is really no transparency is worrisome, especially when Cordeiro and Earnie Stew have already contradicted each other in regards to who will be serving what roles.

But it had something to do with hiring a GM.
