Seriously, did Cameron sleep with his wife or something?

Gotta make sure that there's somebody in camp that can't hit water falling out of a boat.

I guess Charlie Davies was busy.

Wood was playing very well towards the end of the season.

But overall I can't say that there is much about this roster that gets me excited. Would be nice to see Charlie, Benny Feilhaber, and Lichaj get looks but alas, nothing changes.

I seriously hope that if we had some of our u23 and u20 guys available then Ibarra wouldn't be called in. I'm probably wrong though.

Can confirm: Geoff Cameron left out of #USMNT squad so he can recover from niggling injuries he accumulated during the arduous #BPL season.

Would've liked to have seen Bedoya, Dempsey, Cameron, Besler, Omar, Zusi, or Davies. But...lots of injuries in that group, apparently. Also, I get the feeling this squad is about testing fringe players to see who will make the real Gold Cup roster.

Thanks. He played really well this season, but since he was left out of the last Euro friendlies I thought he ended up in the doghouse.

I imagine it's about testing people they've scouted for the Gold Cup to solidify spots based on playing decent competition. I think we'll see more experimentation after the Gold Cup, but those guys probably were never in the Gold Cup equation.

I like to think we'd have a few different guys there if our younger squads weren't off on missions to conquer land in the name of America. Who knows, though?

Benny torching the mls right now and still can't get a sniff.

Miguel Ibarra. He at least as I've said before gives me a glimpse as to what I would look like out there

Let the hand wringing begin. Let's get all bent out of shape about roster selections for friendlies.

I don't think he needs to be a regular, but I'm not upset he was called up. We aren't deep at LB, especially when it comes to guys that can help in the attack. He'll also have Johnson over there to cover for him.
