I haven't looked to see exactly which players, but there's 2 MLS playoff games on October 19. I think you could see a handful of players head back early. If we send back 5, that will still leave us 21 for Canada.

No, but he could use the game time and hopefully get some goals and a confidence boost.

Is there a FIFA rule against our filing two separate NT for competitions on the same day?

Like send our B squad (in before someone says that most of our squad is a B squad) to the Nations tournamnent, and on the same day have our A squad play a real friendly against a team that will actually challenge us?

Could even be a doubleheader in the same stadium lol.

Think Mexico did it a few years ago when they were in the Confederations Cup at the same time as the Gold Cup. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Pulisic doesn't even make the bench for Chelsea today.

I think I had him joining the Chelsea Loan Army in the summer before year 3, but shite, he might be gone by January.

Guzan is the guy you're upset about? He's there to be a great locker room guy and to help Steffen.

He also has 9 years of Premier League experience, the league that Steffen hopes to move to soon.

Could possibly be looking at 6 fewer MLS players if Adams, Brooks, Morales, and Weah were healthy, Horvath didn't lose his starting position, and Dest accepted the call up.

The latest from Sergino Dest:

-- "I've said I'm still figuring it and turned down both [the USMNT and the Netherlands]."
-- "I need to think carefully. So I left it alone this time. I hope to have decided next month."

He's going to choose the Netherlands. It's so easy to see it coming.

We brought him up through the youth ranks, gave him his first international cap, yet he's still undecided. This isn't a Timmy Chandler situation, the Netherlands are actively pursuing Dest.

I can't blame the kid, he grew up there and is currently starting for the premier program in the country.

The melt over Dest some are having is insane. There’s plenty to be upset about with our federation right now, the “recruitment” of him is not one of them.

The kid is Dutch. He grew up in the Netherlands. He plays for the biggest club in the Netherlands. Once they finally came calling, what exactly did people expect???

the USSF knowing this was coming and cap tying him before the choice became an option. there’s really no reason he isn’t tied to the USMNT, considering the chances we’ve had since Trinidad. we literally developed him. cap tie his arse and this isn’t a conversation

He would have turned it down and done the same thing he’s doing now.

This isn’t the US squandering Pulisic or Rossi trying to make his dad happy. And it isn’t like Jonathan Gonzalez turning us down at our nadir. It’s just something that happens with dual nationals who blow up and get interest from bigger teams.
