Guardado choked McKennie a few years back and is now an assistant with this team. Marquez is their coach. Nasty combo. Who do we think gets choked tonight? My money is on Cavan or Berhalter.

Not certain Poch would go with youth on both the back line and in goal, otherwise I would say he’ll play Kochen.
I don’t think he’ll play all of Sully/Dest/Freeman at the same time, and I do think he wants to give Sully meaningful time in a higher quality matchup.
Dest and Sully on the same side causes big problems for Mexico to consider, so Raines comes in and sweeps on that side. I honestly like Raines a LOT beside Adams. His seek-and-destroy ability really gives Adams a lot less to do and more ability to protect.
Ellis is my choice up top against a squad like Mexico. It’s always dangerous to go tekkers-heavy against them. I like having a drifting hold-up guy to link with Gio and Malik. Gives guys the chance to squeeze into the attack late and creates space/opportunities.
The rest speak for themselves.
ETA: Sullivan is 100% getting choked at minimum if he starts. He gives ZERO fricks.

regardless of result, there’s enough narrative this window that makes baptizing the younglings worth it. I hope Sullivan gets sent off for breaking a fibula in half
