Tessman looked like a real difference maker. Super composed and just makes such a difference to have a real physical presence there over your Luca Del Torre types

The best the US has looked in a long time. Tessman and Morris both greatly improved their stock tonight.

I had to stop watching after the goal to make dinner for my gf and me but Tessman continues to look good. I actually thought Morris started to fade and passing wise stood out as the weak link in midfield and had too many give aways that started attacks for Ecuador. McKennie looked like he was hustling which hasn’t always been the case. Good to see. Weah looked ok. I wish we didn’t run our attack on the left through Arfsten. Tillman continues to look great. Balo looked like our starter. This game was an improvement for sure. Still don’t like Freeman at RB.

I'm going to assume Jedi will start the next match and I would expect it to look what better with him. I forgot Dest is out of the camp I was looking forward to both of them in this back 3 look.

Why is Dest not in camp?

Also, looks like Pepi is going to be like Reyna from now on - perpetually injured

Just finished watching the match (kids bruh, kids). If anyone is disappointed with that match, rethink your position. Ecuador is the best defensive team in South America. Yeah, they were missing 2 defensive starters, but they are still top notch. If they had a consistent, upper level goal scorer, they would be a real Semi-Final threat imo. That player is coming sooner rather than later with the factory Independiente del Valle have become.

This match has at least given us hope that wasn't there, at least for me.

Arsten's the super stepover guy, he is where our transition attacks went to die.

They said fitness. I dunno if they're still trying to manage his overall minutes or whatever

Dest, Pepi, and Reyna were all listed as injured, and Adams is expected to be a father this week, so they appear to be on good terms with Pochetino.

With all of these players stepping up their game though, I wonder if Reyna will lose his place though.

Dest has much less competition, Adams has an awesome resume, and Pepi has played great for his club, when healthy.

Reyna can’t say the same about his competition or club play, so his call-ups are based on good performances from the fairly distant past.
