don't do it

ETA: Can you put this in perspective for me? What's a good rating; what's comparable to a 7.0?

That's also not including the Univision numbers, that often rival the English broadcast in ratings.

Hell yeah.

And national soccer is the best way to get people interested. It's how I started.

It probably would have been higher too if it were in primetime at 8pm. The 6pm start probably kept the numbers from being even higher. Im guessing the game on Sunday draws HUGE numbers!

I loved me some USMNT, but Brazil, Spain, and Germany all helped.

It's a little bit less than a small market World Series Game or NBA Finals Game.

NBA Finals game 5 was 6.8

edit: Maybe I'm wrong. I had seen a tweet about this but I'm not sure.

Factor in the five o'clock start and univisions numbers and it's roughly the equivalent of an nba finals or World Series game I'd say

Game 5 of the NBA Finals got a 11.7

A 7 is still really strong though considering the game started at 3 on the west coast

Nielson Wiki

I mean I didn't research it too hard, but your standard finals game is around 9-10, and baseball fluctuates wildly with big/small market teams. Giants/Rays murder the ratings.

People think I'm bashing soccer for some reason. I'm comparing it to post-season big 3 games , that should tell you enough.

This is where I got my numbers. Maybe the overnight numbers are different? IDK

Also looks like expected numbers including Univision are expected to be around 11.

This was from the LA Times LINK

I don't know enough about TV ratings to know the difference

I have no idea what univision is, I was just quoting Nielson ratings.

I loved the game though, and can't wait to watch more World Cup!
