Elizaveta Grebenkova will finish HS early, reclassify and join Alabama next season.
Announcement made after scoring a perfect 10 on bars at the Level 10 Nationals last week.

Lol, Alabama is so in the black more than 99% of other programs. We more than have the luxury of supporting the teams we have, in fact, I think sports like Soccer, Gymnastics are in need of facility upgrades, with Volleyball and Tennis next in line.

Ryan Roberts flipped #1 recruit Lily Smith away from us on his way out the door to Georgia...... I see this as merely repaying the favor.

So true.... oof, that fricking off-season.
Basically gutted the program's depth AND future with so many underclassmen hitting the portal.
Big hits with upperclassmen too like Savannah Woodard, a lockerroom leader, who went on to help Liberty knockout #2 UCLA. and Lexy Kilfoyl, who was all set to be our star pitcher after Montana.

Welp, last bit of salt in the wound:
Minnesota takes advantage of a wild night and advanced from the semi finals to the Final Four as Arkansas and UCLA fall apart.
Alabama would have been in the Gopher's spot and likely would have just needed to do what they did nearly all year, hit above 197.2750, and it would be this Tide team, at long, last advancing to the finals.
Kill me.

It should also be noted, this will likely keep Alabama from ever achieving the #1 ranking this regular season.
Which is good, the last year we entered the Tournament #1 was 2010 and we do not speak of that softball year.

Still think this squad should expect to go to Omaha, but if they don't improve I don't see us doing much there.

Well earned and well deserved.
The season ended sadly as a dud, but the turn around from LAST season was incredible. If they can keep the 2025 to 2026 trajectory into next season, Alabama will be among the 2027 elite.
Do not be distracted by making Nationals last year, qualifying from Tuscaloosa as a low seed with a season high vs coming in a top seed on the road and falling short, this team was night and day better than last year's.

happy 2000s fan:
I love college sports more than pros since professional sports fans are really just cheering for a jersey, the players are mercenaries from all four corners of the earth.
How many New York Yankees are from New York? How many Arsenal players are from London? Now I ask you, how many Alabama players are from Alabama or Ohio State players from Ohio? There you go.

I can truly say in all sincerity... I wish for nothing more than a second NIT Championship for Auburn next year. In fact, I hope this is the beginning of a long Madison Square Garden dynasty.

Thank you. Auburn and Bama have not yet attained the top of an NCAA mountain where the Lions of North Alabama have sat upon twice in 1979 and 1991.

Head Coach Jeff Graba just resigned from Auburn Gymnastics, which is insane since he's not old, the only reason the program is even relevant AND currently has signed the #1 recruit in the 2027 class.

Make Broome and Suni Lee co-ADs... they're the last folks who gave Auburn anything to be happy about.
