Someone explain why playing ultra wide wouldn't help things?

Teams like City that are committed to a high line stop that 1st goal in the midfield, not when it gets in the final third. You take your yellow and live with it.

Accurate. A basketball comparison would be the kids with elite athleticism that get to the goal and can’t finish a layup.

Am I far off?

US looks like St. Aug to me. Talent is there and they do the “main” things well. Running, hustle, physical etc etc. But the little technical things and coaching we are horrific

Dest is a left back, that wasnt his responsibility. That was all zimmerman

Even on the first goal he tracks back to mark a man already marked by Ream

Leaving the middle of the box exposed

USA has some tired legs. A lot of heavy touches and poor passes.

Because we can’t cross for shite and there’s nobody up front who gives us a target even if we could.

Lemme try and give you an analogy

When we get close to the box, we’re trying to make the extra pass or two to dissect their defense for an easy tap in like we’re 2019 LSU and can just do whatever we want and they won’t stop it

We need to be 2003 Boise St and just take any opportunity we get, send some shots like Weah did and make this keeper earn it.

Also the crosses into the box are lol, Dest tried to go up on a cross with a guy that has to be 6-7” taller than he is. It’s just a tactical deficiency because our coach is an idiot.

LvG is literally daring us to try and play like Barca

He’s knows that’s what Gregg wants

But LvG knows we can’t break them down trying to play that way

2nd half has been our weakness and fitness an issue past 3 games. Gregg will sit on his bench til its too late to make a difference.

To have a chance we need a goal before 70th minute. Get a goal and momentum could twke over if we make the right subs.

Worry is Gregg sitting in subs thinking about extra time. We will need a new coach for 26 and then we can go far. This year is great experience for a young team with clueless coach.

You're close. We need to take shots sooner instead of slowing down and letting them build up behind the ball.

The Dutch are playing a very patient game though. They don't think the US can unlock their low-block. We need Reyna and for one of our strikers to find some amazing form suddenly.

If CP10 scores that opening goal, this is a much different match.
