If Dempsey ever wants the armband back, he needs to show more effort.

thought our two center backs played pretty well in the second half. Both made good tackles and dominated in the air

Another sub par performance. Mexico will press the eff out of this team the whole night and control at least 60% of possession. The Team is only bound to get off like 6 or 7 shots a game so they better make them count and Guzan had better be ready to work.

Personally, I think that the entire fanbase would unite behind Jurgen once more if he just lost his shite and bitchslapped the officials.

We were absolute garbage, but somehow, the officials managed to outshine us as the worst performance of the night.

I would be willing to bet that doesn't happen and we beat Mexico by more than a goal. The starting lineup tonight was absolutely pathetic, and anything good that may have come from the team was promptly penalized in most cases. I'm not saying we're going to magically become a force of nature overnight, but I think our best lineup in this tournament easily beats Mexico's. We played what may be one of our worst Starting XI's tonight.

This was always going to be a rotation game. We just happened to play terrible, get jobbed repeatedly, and still survived.

Quick takeaways: Jurgen's subs and halftime adjustments are great, hope he's been trying stuff early on because he knows will advance. Need to get it right from the beginning in the knockouts. We need Zardes and Yedlin's dynamism. Love the Johnson and Zardes flank.

Excellent: Guzan, Johnson, second half Brooks

Good(or did their job/role): Beckerman, Dempsey, Wondo, Second half alvarado, Yedlin, Bacon, Bedoya, Zardes, Bradley

Bad: Morales, First half Brooks

Terrible/revoke their citizenship: Chandler, first half Alvarado

He's too old to be relied on this much. But he played his part defensively and positionally, and at least he knew where to be to receive a pass unlike Mix last game.

Would love to see a Beasley and Besler call up. Move Fab into midfield

I'm normally a huge beckerman fan and can recognize what he brings to the table. Overall tonight, especially in first half, he was a liability.
I don't know why Danny Williams wasn't called up.

Amazing how much better you look when you insert personnel that actually fit what you're trying to do.

I like how AJ and Deuce link up. We need that creativity going forward IMO

Williams is our Beckerman of the future. He played that role to perfection against Arsenal in the FA cup
