Except for coming back to win the ball after turning it over, as well as his movement opening him up to make one-touch passes.

They have affiliates set up all over Texas, Arkansas, and here in Shreveport/Bossier now too.

The NWLA one has almost imploded after one year. They’ll have one girls team next year. 2007. All the other girls teams either went back to Shreveport United or to the new Elite club.

They still rely on pay to play for scouting talent

11/15 have featured the USA, 13/15 have featured either USA, Mexico or both.

He's really not. He does a great job of drawing defenders away and gets into great positions in and around the box.

I think one poster on here kids was in the set up

Mine is but I think there's was someone in DFW too. They work really well across the affiliate system to identify kids and move them up and around their pyramid. We've had kids from here go play tourneys with their Dallas teams so they could get a look at them.
ETA yeah the girls side has been a disaster

True but only one year both the US and Mexico were not in the final, so yea those two teams have dominated.

I know Hyndman came through that set-up remarkably early.

I wish Hyndman or Zelalem worked out. They were really promising as teenagers.

Looking at Yanks Abroad, is this the most players we've had abroad ever? The list seems longer than years past.

He rarely makes beyond the ball runs, and is pretty limited to working between the channels. That is the norm for a target striker, but it's also pretty static.

He’s absolutely static

His size and athleticism forces defenses to account for him, but his laziness and his often poor first touch (granted it’s typically better than Zardes) doesn’t allow him to be as effective as he could and should be, especially as a “veteran leader”

FC Dallas has a phenomenal academy setup. They can pretty much play an entire starting XI of academy products and still win games in MLS. The other MLS teams are trying to duplicate their success. RSL, Philly, NY Red Bulls, and Colorado have good academies, too. And watch out for Seattle, LAFC, Atlanta, and NYCFC in a few years.

We had some sloppy moments, but Mexico has looked beatable in this tournament. If we play a good game, I think we can win.

With our current roster can we not have Cannon at RB and Lima at LB? Isn’t LB what Lima plays for club?

If Hyndman gets consistent playing time over the next two years I think he has the tools to be a national team contributor.
