Nuno has got to go right? I hate the idea of sacking managers so early in the season, but I don’t even know what the process is that we are supposed to be trusting. There isn’t the slightest bit of progression from week to week.

Aside from the initial match against MC, we’ve looked like absolute dogshit and continue to get worse somehow. There’s no coherent style of play. Sometimes we press randomly, but usually we sit back and get battered, electing to “counterattack”, yet somehow never getting a shot on target. We’ve looked about equal to the shitty clubs from tiny countries we’ve played in the European version of the CBI. If we were playing free flowing, attacking football like Brighton and losing games it would be one thing, but this is brutal to watch as a spectator.
Don’t really plan on watching them until something changes.

I couldn't even finish watching that. It was just so blah, and has been for awhile. I guess that's why you shouldn't hire an ex-goalkeeper as your manager.
This is my big sticking point as well.

I feel like you are the most even keel from week to week regarding Spurs so for you to have this take says it all.
This squad is clueless. We literal don’t excel at a single thing. We waste so much energy on attempting to press, but there is no strategy behind it. Like I said earlier I hate the cycle of hiring and firing managers year after year, but this guy had no business getting the job. Nothing on his resume suggested that he could get the team playing and competing the way that everyone expects. We didn’t hire a guy away from wolves, we hired a guy fired from wolves because he played the exact same way and got the exact same results.
Also, starting Ben Davies to get more stability is an absolute joke. Just commit to a back 3 if you're even thinking about starting Davies for stability. He gave the ball away today over and over and offers absolutely nothing going forward.
A few positives from the last couple of games…Emerson has been an absolute workhorse. His ball in the final third needs work, but his work rate and defensive ability is significantly better than what we had with Aurier. He looks like a good purchase. Also, Romero is a proper CB. He plays with a ton of aggression and reads the game really well.
I knew this season would be a transition and a top 4 finish was out of the question, but I expected to see glimpses of improvement. A -7 GD through 10 games is embarrassing. I hope I’m wrong, but it feels like every game played under Nuno is delaying the inevitable.

Looks like the rumor mill has them meeting today to decide. I’m assuming the major holdup is not wanting to get stuck in a situation where Ryan Mason ends up managing for the rest of the year.

Lol he was terrible vs ManU. So many of these guys have regressed since joining Spurs. I chalk a lot of that up to the lack of consistency between managers and systems.

I usually give (too much?) benefit of the doubt to the players. I refuse to believe that they're just not good after reaching this level.
I think it just comes down to guys knowing and playing with confidence in a system that the manager puts in place. Otherwise, top players will looks very average in the Premier League.

I honestly DGAF if Nuno stays or goes right now, because nothing is REALLY going to change until Levy is gone. Dude is a sack of shite that’s positioned this club so poorly in terms of fielding a competitive squad - I don’t believe there’s any manager out there that could get long-term, sustained success with this roster.

It's Official, Nuno has been sacked.
Conte appears to be the front runner for his replacement.

Omg would be so amazing if y'all hired him before United

Agreed, but I'm not holding my breath after that debacle of a coaching search Spurs had this past summer.

Levy needs to GTFO since this was his debacle
Nuno should’ve never been brought in

Hope he doesn’t expect us to buy anyone in the transfer window.

People said the same thing about José, and he was able to buy just a few players which I can’t imagine is what he was promised.
