People said the same thing about José, and he was able to buy just a few players which I can’t imagine is what he was promised.
The two are not the same, conti has left every single club he has ever managed because of him not been able to control the players he wants. Or the club not being willing to spend.

Fabrizio Romano on Conte: HERE. WE. GO.

The Conte announcement video should be him throwing the players he doesn’t want off the skywalk

Let’s go! Wow what a breath of fresh air this news is.

Spurs should erect a statue of Ole outside the stadium.

What's most exciting about this is not necessarily the immediate upgrade in tactics, but the fact that he wouldn't have agreed to this without the promise of some significant spending in the transfer market.

Yeah, you have to think he’s been given assurances on specific funds for January, and the summer. The reporting so far has said as much, but we shall see.
I think what I’m most excited about, aside from the potential increase in transfer funds and clear tactics, is that he will surely identify the problem players in the squad who either aren’t good enough, or have bad attitudes, and force them out of the club. Even if his appointment only lasts the length of the reported 18 months of the contract, having him come in and clean house would be worth it.

What's the over/under Levy lives up to his promises and actually lets him go after players?

Trust levy as far as you can throw him etc, but I’m willing to be the Charlie Brown to his Lucy one last time.

Depends how much leftover coke Paratici has stored in the cheese room.

What does tomorrow look like for Spurs? What does the formation look like and does he run out the A squad?
A week ago this match wasn’t even on my watch radar but gonna have to find a way to watch now. I’ll probably be disappointed since he hasn’t had any time to do much.

I'm going to guess a lot of piss & vinegar with some mixed signals thrown in.
Historically, Conte doesn't do great in Europe and prefers to focus on the league, but being that the Conference League is pretty winnable I'm wondering if he may go for it.

Conte's first XI: (formation may not be spot on from me here)
Lloris (C)
Dier - Romero - Davies
Emerson - Skipp - PEH - Reguilon
Son - Lucas
Kane

I guess even the best have to learn about Davies the hard way.
