I am for letting Joe run with VVD, I think he is very good now and his ceiling is incredible. I agree that Koulibaly is really good but I just think money can be spent elsewhere. I would really like Werner and think it fits.

James Pearce says Timo has his heart set on Liverpool. Let’s not mess this up.

Where does he play when everyone is fit? I'd obviously love to have him but he isn't better than anyone in the front 3. He'll be a great player to spell any of them, but is he going to be happy playing against the Brightons, West Hams, and Evertons of the schedule?

Or is this a look to the future and the inevitability of Mane/Salah going to Spain?

He can play anywhere in the front 3 but does prefer the 9 role. I have heard more than a few “insiders” speculate that Bobby could step back and create in the AM role. He would provide much needed cover though for the big three. I also think Minamino is going to help with that also next year.

Color me in the camp of preferring that Manè stay and Salah go.

We cant keep relying on that front 3 only.. plus, I'm not sure what will happen with AFCON this year.. We could lose Salah and Manè for at least a month..

I just can't agree at all.

EVERY squad that Liverpool plays concentrates on stopping Salah defensively.

I love Sadio, but in general he's defended singly. When Salah has the ball at his foot, the defense swarms on him.

IMO that should tell you all you need to know about how teams throughout the English league comparatively consider Salah/Mane.

I think Manè would demand the same, especially if we brought in a Timo Werner or similar talent. If you singly defend Manè, bad things happen. His record this season so far proves it.

That’s why I said what I did, on top of Salah blowing tons of chances (even on breaks). I LOVE Salah and wish we could keep this front three forever, but I think Salah nets us MUCH more money and we still would be dynamite in the final third (with heaps of cash to improve in whatever other areas we need).

IMO, I think Manè is currently viewed as a more valuable player in the transfer market... he's much more versatile and can fit into any system..

For us, I think their styles of play compliment each other perfectly on the wings... I hope they both stick around at least one more season... As they get closer to 30, they key is knowing when to sell to maximize profits and keep the squad young and fresh...

I think that no one is going to leave this Summer due to the way the season has transpired. I can see us doing some selling and buying but nothing at the level for either that would have been done if the season would have played out and we would have won the league by 20 points. Your Lovren's, Lallana's etc will roll out for Werner and who knows. You know what? I have no fricking clue what I am talking about, who the hell knows at this point. Edwards could have used this time to plot a Mbappe or Sancho raid while figuring out how to break the bank with Salah or Mane. The good news in all of this is that I absolutely know that what ever happens in the market that there is a 95% chance that we make out big time.

Yeah, all this uncertainty leads me to believe there won't be a whole lot of big business done this summer by us (or anyone really).. I think there may even be some truth in us waiting another year or even doing a Keita type deal for Werner...

If we were to lose one of those two, we'd absolutely have to go all in for Sancho (I still think Mbappe is unrealistic)... but again, with their contract situations, we hold all the cards there.. not to mention, I dont think either are clamoring to leave.. why would they?

I read somewhere that we may see more swap deals in this transfer market, due to this crisis.. I could see that happening, more so in a way for clubs to fill needs and round out squads... not so much in blockbuster deals...

Yes sir, I just think this Summer is ripe for huge mistakes in the market by desperate clubs. I definitely think we roll with our Big Three one more year. I do think Werner is going to happen, it just seems both parties involved want this thing to go down. I think the Mbappe talk is crazy also, it just doesn't seem to fit our market strategy because he is going to be insanely expensive. Sancho might be a more realistic target although I doubt that also.

The rumor is that Werner is willing to play another year at RB and then transfer to Liverpool instead of taking a big contract at Barca, etc. Given this season has been essentially null and void, I could see waiting for him at least until next January transfer window.

Again, my main issue with this would be AFCON... I really hope they cancel that this cycle...

Mane, Firmino, Salah (all world class)

Other Options:
Origi (God bless his name)
Shaquiri (can barely get minutes when healthy)
Minamino (?????)

Werner....even at 50m is a steal.

I'm sick of hearing that we are not going to have revenue going forward. We've spent an impotent amount of money in the last several windows. I do appreciate that some of the contracts for our best players have been renewed, but we're not the 8th or 6th best team in the league anymore. We're one of, if not the best, teams in Europe. We have the opportunity to put our boot on the throats of other clubs that can"t afford to spend right now. And frankly, if we lose Salah or Mane indefinitely, City can overtake us next season.

Obviously there are uncertainties right now, but we've never been in a better position to capitalize than now.

Yep Werner gives us options up front. Firmino is perfect for Klopps system up top, but having Werner in the mix as well gives us a true goal scoring ST.

Also wouldn't mind a good mid who can push for minutes, a backup LB and/or RB, and maybe a young winger.

Yea, before the world went to shite I was all in on Timo, Havertz, and a fullback for cover. And it looked like Shaq was out the door so I wanted Klopp to try Adama Traore as a replacement. That seems like a world ago now. Thankfully we've done such good business over the last several windows that if nobody is moving this summer, we're still sitting pretty.
