It appears that City v Arsenal will happen on the 17th and we'll go to Everton on the 20th. Now, stranger things have happened, but if Arsenal beat City then we can win it at Goodison. And apart from winning it at Anfield, only OT would be more preferable that doing it across Stanley Park.
I'm only going off of numbers I've seen reported. If he's £50m this window and 30-40 next summer, then yes he'd cost less. We've seen that it takes some players time to acclimate to Klopp's system (even some of our best), so personally I'd like to see him in sooner rather than later. Liverpool have spent very little in the last few windows while recording record income over that time frame. If any club are in the position to spend now to strengthen going forward, we have that ability.

Yea, before the world went to shite I was all in on Timo, Havertz, and a fullback for cover. And it looked like Shaq was out the door so I wanted Klopp to try Adama Traore as a replacement. That seems like a world ago now. Thankfully we've done such good business over the last several windows that if nobody is moving this summer, we're still sitting pretty.
Mane, Firmino, Salah (all world class)

Other Options:
Origi (God bless his name)
Shaquiri (can barely get minutes when healthy)
Minamino (?????)

Werner....even at 50m is a steal.

I'm sick of hearing that we are not going to have revenue going forward. We've spent an impotent amount of money in the last several windows. I do appreciate that some of the contracts for our best players have been renewed, but we're not the 8th or 6th best team in the league anymore. We're one of, if not the best, teams in Europe. We have the opportunity to put our boot on the throats of other clubs that can"t afford to spend right now. And frankly, if we lose Salah or Mane indefinitely, City can overtake us next season.

Obviously there are uncertainties right now, but we've never been in a better position to capitalize than now.
I wouldn't say it would be trashy, but if there is one thing I learned beyond the shadow of a doubt from that doc, it was to stay as far away from Manitowoc as humanly possible. The police simply do not have to follow any rules there.

Shouldn't take long. Injuries will end his career early. He could've set records in England if he could stay healthy.

I like the idea of having two chances (the catholic dogma was a nice touch). I think you'll find that a straight single elimination contest will end rather quickly. I would, however, recommend that you include a list of the games to pick from each week in the OP, a simple copy and past from the PL site would work.
Alright, your last post put me over the top. I'm in...I'll just show up to work tipsy.

Hey, i posted in the other thread that I'll run it if you don't want to. It's your child so you make the call.
I certainly don't want to steal the OP's thunder and am more than happy to participate in the competition as is. However, I'm also willing to run the contest as it has been for the coming season. Chalmetteowl started the initial contest and picked it back up last year, so I assumed he would be facilitating it again this season. I have a little more free time now and don't mind doing it, but I have no problem if the board would like some new influence. Either way...

1. Liverpool
For those that missed it, here's an interview with Tony Evans that talks a lot about where our transfer window is going. He's a pretty respected journalist with particular contacts at LFC.

I'm happier with the state of Liverpool FC heading into this season than I have been since the end of the last decade. I'll hold off making any predictions until I see who else is brought in this summer, but another top 4 finish is now the minimal expectation. And while I'm going to miss watching Luis play (we were very lucky to have his talent during his prime), I won't miss the constant bullshite that accompanies him. This club is in the best place we've been in years financially, talent wise, and most importantly, in leadership. FSG, Brendan Rodgers, and Steven Gerrard are the epitomy of what I want in the leadership roles at LFC. With the upcoming stadium expansion and strong youth core in the team, the next few years should be very exciting for us. YNWA
Suarez is an idiot. What else needs to be added to the topic? There is no reason to litter the board with Suarez threads every time someone makes a statement.
This really needed its own thread? There are plenty of Suarez themed threads today that you could've posted this in. You have surpassed tnbhoy as the worst poster on this board. We get it, you don't like Suarez.
Another good thread gone to shite...and I'd take Courtois over Cech every day now.
