Since Red Star scored against Napoli, a 1-0 win puts Liverpool through. If Napoli scores vs Liverpool, then Liverpool will need to win by two. Petty sure that how it needs to go down. I’m sure I’ll be corrected soon enough if not.

Yeah, Napoli letting Red Star score may not be the worse thing.
Instead of thinking you can’t lose by more than two it’s a one-off now.
Should be a fun match.
ETA: The order to a tie breaker is:
1. head to head
2. away goals
3. goal difference
4. goals scored (not sure about after that).
Since Napoli is +3 goal difference now and Liverpool is +1 GD a 1-0 score will put them both at +2. They will then be tied at h2h, away goals, and GD. That means that goals scored will settle it which Liverpool will be ahead since they scored 8 goals (9 assuming the score line is 1-0) and Napoli scored 7.

Just be appreciative that post-match we have been blessed with the appearance of the Soccer Board Clique of Greatness, bro.

So here’s the deal going into the Napoli game...
Because Red star scored a goal yesterday it’s a little different than we assumed
If we win 1-0, we would go through, if we win 2-1, Napoli goes through. If we win by 2 goals, we’d go through

Watching Neymar flop repeatedly is a scar on the sport

I think a fair amount were actually fouls, it’s just the extra rolling around that’s annoying. Gomez almost lost his leg, shrugged it off and plays on. Neymar embellishes on any contact.
That said, Mane plays for the flop at times too and it gets annoying. Squanders good chances trying to draw a PK.

Would bet my salary this is what happens.
With them scoring in the 80+ minute.

I’ve got a bad feeling the rest of the year. How in the hell is klopp still starting Henderson. He does nothing productive and hasn’t all year. Would much rather see a rotation of Shaq/keita/fab through the midfield going forward. Also, how did TAA not get the start in such a big game? This team is so hot and cold, it doesn’t make sense given the level of talent across the board. Am I missing something?

Definitely agree we need to see more of Shaq and Keita. Just not sure who else should sit...Henderson for sure, but Milner and Gini seems like a toss up. Personally I say Milner, but Gini had a rough game Wednesday.
I’m not a huge Lovren fan, but he didn’t play bad. I think the whole lineup vs PSG was Klopp playing conservatively so I can see why TAA sat.

I think the overall frustration is stemming from knowing we aren’t allowed any frick ups in EPL or the flood gates open for city. Gotta rebound big against the damn toffees this weekend!

Keita and Shaq are the only mids that produce anything for our front three. I think we have to see these two along with Fab. We know what we have with the regular three and I love those guys but that combo is not good enough for the CL or to catch City.

Harry Wilson with another 2 goals for Derby County... One of which was an absolute banger... This kid surely deserves a run with the first team next season, if he keeps it up...

NBC just showed it as a 4-2-3-1 with Salah up top...
Glad to see Shaq getting a start and Fabinho for that matter

I like the lineup...
though I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of Salah up top... and more than okay with Bobby dropping back to the #10 in a 4231... but if that's the case, go get a real #9...
Hope we batter these twats today!
