I don't mind it honestly... It gets him more in the goals, and his pace in behind is always a threat, but there's a chance NBC is wrong too and we're going 4-3-3 with our normal front 3 and Shaq ahead of Gini/Fab

I think it'll be what the graphic says, if recent history is an indicator...
Salah was great playing off the right and drifting central.. he did really well playing off a traditional #9 isn Dzeko, too..
Given our current personnel, its what we have to go with... though if we could really get Fabinho and Keita ticking... I'd like to go back to what we were doing last season... fingers crossed it all clicks for the 2nd half of the season...

Yeah you're probably right... And I'd love to get those two up to full speed for sure (I feel like both are really close too, Fab more so than Keita)... Also any idea why this thing is at a weird start time today?

Im guessing to accommodate TV, but not positive...

Shaqiri is playing brilliantly.

I have missed the press!

Fabinho also playing brilliantly.

Yeah I hope we can stick with this midfield... It just looks and feels a lot more fluid and dangerous

Alisson is fricking worth every goddamn penny we spent

I always read constant complaints about Gini too, but every match, there he is. And that just means one thing: he’s the one MF that executes *exactly* as Jurgen Klopp requires him to do.
“But he disappears in some games!”
Yeah, churning out the possession and defending that his manager requires of him in that particular match.
“He was excellent going forward in this match! Why doesn’t he do that more?”
Because his manager doesn’t require it of him every match.
HOLY shite THANK GOD FOR A WORLD CLASS GK!!!

I agree with you Gini has quietly thrived under Klopp... He's bossed the midfield for us on several occasions this year alone

Could you say the same about Hendo?
I think Gini is a very good jack of all trades/master of none type of mf'er...

As to the roles asked of them by their manager? Yes.
The difference is that Hendo isn’t in the same league as Gini in athleticism, speed, strength, and skill on the ball in possession.

Its really hard to know what is asked of them... when Gini has played in more advanced roles, he just doesn't create enough IMO.. but so far, that can be said of all of our mf'ers..

Alisson with the touch there..

As I pointed out previously, whether neither you or I “know what is asked of him” or not, Klopp does. And the fact that he’s almost inevitably selected as a starter tells you with certainty that in his manager’s eyes he absolutely does everything that “is asked of him”.
Pretty positive Gini was the MF that was selected most frequently in the starting 11 last season and I’m also pretty positive the same thing is true this season.
