Shitty game all the way around. No idea what’s going on with this team right now but klopp needs to pull their heads out of their asses with some inspiration. Salah looks like he doesn’t give a shite most of the time, Mane plays selfishly too often, and the overall top 3 looks sloppy as hell. I didn’t watch the entire game but didn’t see not 1 chance on goal from them. Got lucky vs PSG and Chelsea game 2. They better figure something out quickly or yet another trophyless season

Only thing I can say is I think Alisson, VVD, and Gomez played pretty well.

Other than that? Nothin'.

Bobby is trying to create space and work as a team, Mane is taking 1-3 too many touches, Mo is forcing, being selfish, not getting any width, not showing for Bobby or Sadio, and generally looking like he's never played football before.

Klopp severely outclassed by Ancelotti there

Alisson and Gomez were pretty class. Everyone else was pretty shite. And how easily they passed around us and opened spaces with simple runs and 1-2's was pretty embarrassing for us.

Just finished watching. What a shite show of a game. I’m starting to sour on Salah...hope something is wrong with him, because that’s how he’s been playing.

We got our asses handed to us in the midfield and TAA constantly in unwinnable 2 v 1’s.

Also seeing that Keita was cleared and traveled back with the team. Hopeful for Sunday.

Didn't watch but read some articles. Seems like we really could've benefitted from a double pivot in MF instead of a single 6 in Gini, this has worried for City this weekend. We've got to get our attack figured out.

On the replay Alisson got a piece of that shot.

Which would have tipped it higher to the crossbar IMO.

Video at LINK

He's been worth every damn penny/pound/dollar/euro IMO.

Klopp outclassed?

You mean our players not giving a shite or being too tired.

They won 1-0 at home in the 90th. Wouldn't call that "severely" given how badly the individuals played.

Our players were running all over the place chasing the ball. Could they have done better to cut off space and close down passing lanes? Absolutely. But their spacing was a million times better than ours and absolutely destroyed us down the flanks so our fullbacks were left out to dry.

That and our attack in general was not just shite, but extremely predictable. They let certain players have the ball and when other players got it, they were closed immediately and passing lanes were shut off but we tried to force too much within how we were set up.

Sorry, but to me that comes down to the fact that they were set up to exploit us better.

I wouldn’t say Klopp was outclassed, but he whiffed on making adjustments in the 2nd half.

One goal in the 90th minute is "exploiting" us?

they had more chances but I think this is a bit of an over reaction.

Did you watch the same game as everyone else? It could’ve easily been 3/4 - nil. I’d say Napoli exploited us.

They were literally doing the same runs and patterned movement opening up flanks over and over again, especially in the second half. We would’ve been very lucky to escape with a point

I’m not going all doom and gloom, just pointing out that Napoli was far and away the superior team yesterday not just because of form, but they created and played into open spaces much better than we did. And I think that goes beyond us just playing bad or being tired. I thought tactics certainly played a role in it

But, after paying for a world-class goalie, it wasn't easily.

Was it?

This is a bit comforting for those of us that have been worried about Mo...

While he hasn't been at his best, I've been more worried about our front 3 clicking as a whole... I do think it will come in time.. I do wonder how much we're missing Zeljko Buvac... we haven't been pressing as much and that seemed to trigger most of our attacks last season..

We still need an advanced playmaker in a bad way... lot of grafters in MF, but no creators... sure Naby can play the killer ball, but he's much better B2B...
