I will say that FSG and respected LFC journals are still saying Coutinho better but up because they are not selling. We'll see, did y'all see Ox rejected Chelsea and has sad he will push for a Liverpool move.

I think Lemar is announced tomorrow and VVD and OX announced Wednesday/Thursday.

Juve apparently signed Howedes today per italian transfer gossip. Only way we let them have a solid defender like that is if we are set to sign VVD.

Early report today is that we have had a £30mm bid for Ox declined... Gooners may be looking for ~ £40mm
Ben Smith has reported its either Ox or Lemar, not both... The main journey have not said as much..
Also reading this morning that Barca may try to get Lemar out from under us as a Phil replacement...

Some ITKs have stated that if we get Lemar and Ox, that means we sell Phil...
IF we get both of those, I guess I'd be okay letting Phil go... He still is better than both, but he really let us down in some big early matches (UCL qualification) that could have really impacted our season from the beginning...
Sooooo disappointed in him.. I'm just ready to move on with the players that want to be here... we're on the upswing for sure.. and if that €160mm is for real... That is incredible money for him..

yeah, but now they are saying Monaco don't want Origi on loan and want €100mm for Lemar... that may be too steep, but I'll let the powers that be decide...

If they don't want Origi, pay the damn £92M *then* sell/loan Origi for £10-15 and recoup what you can.
Then sell Rat Phil in January or next summer and recoup the biggest part (or all) of it.
Get the young talent in NOW even if you do have to pay a premium. Klopp's hands on long-term young talent will have that premium paid off rather quickly IMO.

Can't say I blame them. He's got zero anticipation or understanding of his role. Nowhere near good enough for them as a main starter. He may eventually get it, but he doesn't have it now. Physically gifted, some poaching instincts, etc. But isn't playing the same tactically as everyone else. Needs playing time in a decent league (in one sense, Germany would be ideal because he would learn so much there, but he also may not get as much PT once that team sees how he plays) - I wouldn't even mind selling him with a fairly low buy-back.

I'm gonna stick by my hot take for this season that Sturbridge isn't gonna miss more than 5 games in a row due to injury. I'm optimistic about him this year and I think it will help that he has almost no pressure on him to perform being used pretty much solely as a super sub

We need to save the Lenar money since that looks like it might be too tough to complete by the close of the window, sign Ox and use that extra money to submit a frickING BID FOR VVD!!!

I think VVD is guaranteed. I'd prefer us go in for Mahrez than Lemar because he's proven he can do it in the EPL and they want to deal. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Mahrez would be unbelievable but that would be some left field shite the day before the window shuts. I get the feeling we have waited to figure out the Lemar, Ox situation which is now a money saving move for Ox. Once that is completed we will test the resolve of Soton with a bid of 75 or up. VVD is the difference between being a really enjoyable and top 4 finish type year or a sky is the limit year. When this is over we need to get to work securing Can and then have to start figuring out how to wrap up Mane and Firmino. You need to put some serious coin on the table and make sure that if anyone wants them in the future there clause will be for real.
