Let’s not get too giddy. Even the boss is wary of Villarreal.

Here’s to a win and hopefully a clean sheet!

Feel like I haven’t seen Elliot or Ox on the bench in a while. Maybe I just haven’t been paying attention.

I'm wondering if Elliot hasn't regained his full quickness/abilities since the injury. He played in what, 2 games since the return, looking ok in one and not great in the other?

Think he also had some off field drama, maybe Klopp sending a message to stop acting his age lol

I was actually reading a thread last night on the Liverpool subreddit about Harvey and thought this post likely sums up the situation well

quote:

My personal opinion is that we probably won't see him again this season. I don't think there's any particular controversy. I think it just comes down to he came back from a really long injury recovery. Looked good in that initial game against lower competition and then looked a little off of it or maybe the moment was a bit too big in the first leg away at Inter. And then stepping from that, essentially every game from that point on has the same stakes, so not really a great time to get back into the flow of things per se. Which to me is why you'll see Klopp inserting guys he trusts more. Add on top of that essentially everyone else in the MF has been healthy and Naby in particular has been both healthy and in really good form. Then you toss in the addition of Diaz and also the health of all of the front 3 options and there's not really any room to steal minutes there either.

If we weren’t chasing silverware we’d be seeing Harvey and/or Curtis on a near weekly basis imo. I imagine next season Harvey plays a role (in terms of playing time) similar to what Curtis has this season, and Carvahlo will be similar to Harvey this year (hopefully with no injury).

Lastly, I don’t think we see Ox play another game for the club. I think he’s sold this summer

I thought he wanted to retire / take time off? If he's found a second wind that'd be huge

I'm not sure Klopp is staying all this contract
One of the reasons to do this is so you can keep signing players and Klopp is not a "lame duck" guy.

I HOPE he stays for sure

He has always said that he honors his contracts. I would be shocked if he left early.

Great win today. Rested some players. Get the win against Villarreal and off to final
