He's been ruled out of CL as far as I know, and the WC is in doubt.

That sucks - was really looking forward to him vs. England and an organized Italy.

Hope its a more minor procedure and he's fully fit for the cup.

Man, that would be horrible for him and the WC to have him miss it...

It appears to be minor, but a knee is always worrisome...

IMO this means another striker must be in the cards for this window... can't afford to go into next season with him sidelined.

Suarez is one of the two international players that helped get me into soccer. The main one is Forlan because I started watching with the 2010 World Cup.

Meniscus injuries are variable. They are better than most muscular tears because they can usually heal quicker, but they may not always heal well enough (see Russell Westbrook).
