If that person is there strictly to slow the other team down before getting to the defense or win a tackle, I think Beckerman actually would be the better answer. That being said, Beckerman being a better option in a formation makes me want to play a different formation

Could fap to this.

So could Mexico, I think.
They would overrun our midfield and overwhelm the everliving snot out of Beasley and Parkhurst.

I also agree that Beckerman will and probably should start if Bradley can't.

Just saw that Mexico fired Chepo. That could be good or bad for us. Might bring that team together.

I want do a 4-4-2. We do not have a lone striker without Jozy's dumb arse.

Howard looked lackadaisical in goal. I have always been one to stick with what works, but I would not mind seeing Guzan in a non-Mexico wcq.

I want Evans at RB. He had been solid every single time out there. I think this is obvious. Was there some reason he was not selected?

The center backs scare me. They ball watch like it is their job. I guess stick Omar and JAB, but I am far from confident.

Fabian has to start at LB. Beasley will get raped by dos Santos. I know Johnson provides some of our best service, but the defense needs him against excellent international opponents.

Zusi on the right and Deuce on the left cutting in. Zusi still provides some of our best service. His set piece skill is nice as well.

The midfield pairing will be scary without Bradley, but he still could play. Being on crutches is nothing right now. They give every athlete crutches to stay off it. Jones and Bradley if healthy. Not sure what to do without him.

I would roll the dice with Johannssen and Donovan up front. We lack a lone striker, and even though I think of Johannssen as more of a super sub, this is necessary.

Howard
Evans JAB Omar Fabian
Zusi Bradley? Jones Dempsey
Donovan Johannssen

You need the double pivot unless you have a world class holding mid. Even Schweinsteiger had a learning curve playing by himself. I'd rather start Mixx with Jones and save Bedoya for the 60th min

I thought Omar had a solid outing last night.
Our fullbacks, not so much.
Fab will have to start LB next summer in Brazil

shite, I don't like all the factors that are coming into this game.

Our injuries/suspensions, Mexico firing Chepo. This game seems like it's going to be so volatile.

Or they could come in completely defeated before the whistle blows.

I would be ok with this.

Also, Dos Santos plays on the left, not on the right, so it's Parkhurst who has to contain him.

The Ticos will be without Navas in net when they go to that abortion of a field in Jamaica. The Reggae Boyz might be done-zo, but I still like their chances.

I don't see dempsey working hard enough defensively to play outside right now, I believe that's why other people have donovan outside and dempsey under/beside the striker
