I know Mexico sucks big dick right now and they have been terrible in non majority-hispanic US cities, but frick, we are coming into this shorthanded.

Would love to punch our ticket and deliver a death blow to their chances all in one night though.

We're not good enough in the midfield to play without a striker.

Orozco's going to start on the right.

I'd swap Guzan for Howard (won't happen) and Bacon for Beasley (move Fab back, Cakes left, Deuce central and Bacon up top).

Dempsey is not a CF, and we never should've played him as one

Also give me Guzan in goal.

Sooo... pull Zusi, move Donovan to the right, Dempsey back in the hole, Aron/GAM as the striker?

I don't know how good Johannsson is as a lone striker but I'd rather him try it than Dempsey. I'd sit Zusi, unless you want to sit Beasley with Fab at fullback.

Where is Jozy at as far as his injury? How many mins could we expect from him against Mexico?

he´s sitting on a yellow, and from what I gather from tonight´s comments, he had one previously. He´s not playing.

Bradley will play, correct?

Doesn't look good. He's on crutches.

Jesús, Jozy is one stupid mofo.

This side is going to be difficult to set up properly, without both of them.

Are the two CB´s versatile enough to run alone, dropping Jones in between them ( a 3 back)?

Well the yellow cards sure ended up landing where we didn't need them going into the Mexico match all nestled up to a couple of cards to the Ticos and a PK for the U.S.

Total tinfoil hat thinking of course. But damn.

humor me for a moment.

3-5-2

Landy in the middle. He´ll have to play the match of his life.

Deuce and Bacon up top.

ETA or Bacon and GAM up top.

I dont know man. We just got shredded down the wings by the Ticos and regardless of what's going on with el tri they can play with pace and make shite happen out wide in the final third.

Tread with caution...

It´s not like we´re dropping fb´s, they simply have to run like wingers, and feed Landy and his two wingmen (one of which, should be Deuce, who along with Landy, can creep up at his discretion).

Dire times require drastic solutions.

I understand your thought process with the 3-5-2, but 4 days is not enough time to try something that drastic. If we had a month of camp before and a tune up game, I wouldn't mind experimenting, but not now.
