I’ll bite. I thought the offensive numbers early were indicative of superiority to past McMahon teams.

Turns out that was a crock of shite
Whatever the reasons are, this is still a major low point. LSU MBB used to be one of my main rooting interest and now there is just apathy.

Part of the reason we should play more people is that we clearly are better when we put our foot on the pedal. The team needs to get out and run more, plus apply more pressure on defense. They are struggling in the halfcourt on both sides, we should be trying to dictate pace of play.

She’s from Georgia. Need her to have a get right game in her home state in the worst way.

One thing that is definitely coaching is timeout usage. Seems like Kim is loathe to use timeouts to stop the bleeding, at least in the first half, but somehow used up all the timeouts super early in the second half. Brutal combination.
I think Williams has conditioning issues and she’s slow. She needs to lean out, it would help with both issues.

I thought the next game was supposed to be an easier opponent, but UGA is 15-1 and played a harder non conference than us. Might be a really rough start to conference play.

I really thought we were seeing a philosophy change in three point attempts with this team, but clearly that was only due to opponents. You have to be a rebounding juggernaut to shoot so many fewer threes than your opponent on a regular basis, and this team is clearly not a rebounding juggernaut.

In a vacuum, 2 losses to highly ranked teams with one on the road is not that bad. But the way they happened shows that this team is soft right now. Just outhustled to almost every loose ball, followed by vomiting up atrocious turnovers. They have a lot to fix and a schedule that does not let up.

Use that size!
I knew it was soft, but having 12 of 14 wins against Q4 (!!!) is far too soft.
The ladies really have wilted under pressure in both sec games so far. They have more talent than vandy, it’s time to act like it.
Koval has turned into a pumpkin since we hit SEC play. Our ceiling drops quite a bit if she can’t get it together. Her confidence is in the toilet too, she absolutely smoked an uncontested 1 foot layup earlier. Fulwiley seems to have her shite together today at least.
They really might do it.

RUN IT UP
They need to get back on D, but that’s probably 3 straight possessions we were fouled. I was waiting for a T for Kim.
Max has been bad but holy hell did he get fouled in that last play.
Their guy trying to take a contested shot with 6 or so seconds left…not a great decision!
10 is doing everything, it’s incredible to me they can’t just take the ball from him. Double him and make someone else score, got damn
Some of the guys he past over after seeing them on a call or two are falling because he didn’t play them to their strengths.

Sargent is my biggest beef, and I’m not even some huge Sargent guy. He brought him in and basically never had him check back to post up and receive the ball, which is one of his main skills! And then it seems like he decided “he didn’t perform, so I’m not calling him back in.”

I feel the opposite way with Arfsten. He brings in a super offensive minded LWB to play LB. This guy repeatedly gets toasted over a spit and is defended vs Saudi Arabia like a bad three point shooter, and he has him start almost every game! That dude has almost zero future with the national team as a LB, what a total waste
