sorry to bring this topic back up, but this came out today. I think he was well in reason to feel bitter towards Klinsmann, but not towards the team. That was a little shocking, but i think a lot of people would feel like that.

Despite it sometimes biting him in the arse ("I'm not as fit as I used to be") - I appreciate that Landon tells the truth.
He admits he had bitter and mean thoughts and then slept on it and realized that doesn't benefit the sport, his friends and teammates, nor himself.
Everyone who has been a second choice or passed over for something important has wished ill will on the one chosen.
You either get over and move on or let it eat at you and consume you.
Good on Landon for choosing the later and being man enough to admit he had a natural human reaction to a huge disappointment.
PS - Klinsmann's son still hasn't apologized. tPOS.

Donovan assumed he had a spot thanks to past accomplishments. Maybe he shouldn't have quit playing and gotten fat after the US hired a new coach that wanted to change the culture of the team.
