Said one German scout of Christian Pulisic: "Barring serious injuries I would be surprised if this kid doesn't turn out to be the greatest footballer in the history of American soccer.

Hopefully not, but he's already light years ahead of the Adu's situation from a development and learning standpoint.

We're about to see our golden generation boys. Gonna be a fun ride. The 12-20 age group is loaded.
Pulisic, Zelalem, Hyndman, CCV, EPB, Lederman, Akele, Weah, Xuhxuh, and many many more. There are kids in the pool right now with potential to be high end players in Europe

I've been thinking the same thing but I also wonder how many times in the past we've said that and it never really came to fruition.
I'd say the only other time it really turned out like that was that '02 World Cup team.
I am excited about the young guns we have coming through the pipeline though.

True, but we've got a lot of young guys owned by big European clubs right now. Barcelona, BvB, Bayern, Porto, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Xuhxuh is reportedly going to join Ajax..I mean we're talking some heavy hitters in European football. They're talented youngsters. Whether they continue to progress remains to be seen, but there is obviously a lot of guys with loads of potential. Was that always the case?

He should be pushing 15 by now. I didn't realize we had a kid at Real(Pynadath) and another kid at Barca besides lederman (de la Fuente)

Overall quality in numbers will get better too with the investment in mls academies. Should really help our depth and competitiveness.

Yeah I didn't discover Konrad til I saw an article about Lederman's issue at FCB. Pynadath went to Ajax though, IIRC.

Bc he is doing what Adu should have done. At the ages 14-19 Adu should have been in a European academy, not playing in the MLS.

Not to mention, Pulisic still looks very boyish physically. He's probably at least 4-6 years away from being done growing. Adu peaked physically very, very early.

I think I said this when he was 15 or 16, but I think he is our best prospect since Landon.

What excites me more than anything is that he is 17, but already looks to be up to speed in Bundesliga matches.

He does. Very quick in his movements and looks mentally ready to play in one of the top 4 leagues in the world right now. We haven't had one like him at his age... yet.
