Do these teams understand what each other is saying? If the guy said in Spanish, "The next time you'll get a foot in your arse" and didn't cover his mouth he'd get tossed too?

No. It hasn't.
I was on a fishing trip last week with 8 other guys and put the game on. Not 1 other person gave a shite. In fact they made fun of the "identity check" for days after.
Soccer has a reputation and the rainbow kits and mouth covering rules etc. are not helping.

I don’t like all of the rules in football or baseball but I still love the sports. Same applies here. People who point to shite like this as reason for not liking soccer were never going to like it anyway.
